Applications have been invited by Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi for admission to BSc Nursing and BPharm (Ayurveda) for the Academic Year 2012 in the College of Nursing at Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U., Varanasi & The Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkacha, Mirzapur Dist., respectively.

ELIGIBILITY:
Intermediate 10+2 OR equivalent from the recognized board/university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English with minimum 50% aggregate marks (PCBE) for General/OBC category and 40% for SC/ST category.
The age of the candidates should be between 17 to 25 years for all categories as on 31-07-2012.

Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR, INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by 28-3-2012. A Demand Draft Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST Category in favour of the Director, IMS, BHU payable at Varanasi has to be attached with the completed form.

Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth University will be conducting entrance test on 26-06-2011 for Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Mahathma Gandhi Medical Collage Campus, Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry 607 402, for the purpose to admit students in B.Sc. (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) / M.Sc.(Nursing) Courses of Academic Year 2011-12.

Eligibility for Admission to the Courses:

B.Sc (Nursing)
Candidate for admission to the first year Nursing Course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic / Vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in any one of the following three groups combinations and should have studied English as one of the Subjects.
Biology ( Botany & Zoology ) / Physics / Chemistry
Physics / Foundation Science / Medical Laboratory Assistant Course
Chemistry / Foundation Science / Nursing Course

P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing)
Candidates should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing Course of 3 1/2 years of duration from the recognized institutions of INC & TNNMC after completion of H.Sc.(10+2) or its equivalent. The candidate should be a registered Nurse and Midwife with minimum experience of two years as Nurse or one year as full -time PHN in the hospital / institutions after registration in State Nursing Council as of 31st July 2011.

M.Sc.( Nursing)
Candidate should have qualified with the degree of Basic B. Sc. (Nursing)/ P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) in B.Sc (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc (Nursing) course of minimum duration of 4 years / 2 years respectively of course study in the Indian Nursing Council recognized institution. The candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council with one year experience after graduation as on 31st July 2011.


Age Limit:
B.Sc.(Nursing) : The Candidate should be 17 years of age and above on 31st December 2011. No upper age Limit is prescribed.
P.B.B.Sc.(Nursing) / M.Sc.[Nursing): No age limit is prescribed

Candidate desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.
