Liberal Studies emphasizes on integrated development in teaching, experiential learning and overall grooming of the students in areas of leadership, teamwork, communication skills, thinking skills and being a responsible global citizen to cater to needs of the industry. It has been taught in world - renowned universities of North America and Europe for over 100 years on the same campus alongside Engineering and management to provide interdisciplinary learning opportunities to students.

The School of Liberal Studies, a constituent of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, launches its undergraduate program in Liberal Studies. Students get a chance to learn from courses of Arts & Science to Management & Performing Arts and to develop their hidden potential.

PDPU has excellent infrastructure, residential facilities and stimulating environment to support the all round development to the students, SLS will also extend this unique academic initiative to enrich the curriculum and for holistic development of engineering and management schools of the university.

School of Liberal Studies announces admission of its founding batch of 4 year fully residential undergraduate programme in Liberal Studies

Major Subjects:

Business Administration
Economics
English Literature
Environmental Studies
Governance & Public Administration

Intake: 60 students (minimum 50% seats reserved for female candidates)

Eligibility: Candidate should have minimum 55% in 12th Standard in any discipline.

Scholarships:

Merit Scholarship: 100% Tuition fee Waiver for top two candidates.
Special Scholarship: 50% Tuition fee Waiver for the female candidates.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the following bases:

Written test: Sun, 9th Aug, 2009 in various cities.

Group Discussion/ Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited at SLS, Gandhinagar on 16th Aug, 2009

Last date for receiving completed application: Wednesday, 5th August, 2009
