The School of Health Sciences under the University of Calicut, Thenhipalam has invited applications for admission to the following self financing courses.

 

• MSc  - Medical  Biochemistry,

Duration 2  years (4 semesters).

Total seats 20 + 3 NRI,

 

Eligibility – Pass in 4 year BSc Medical Biochemistry with 50% marks or BSc Biochemistry / Chemistry with 50% marks.

 

• MSc Medical Laboratory Technology,

Duration – 2 years (4 Semesters)

Total seats 20 + 3 NRI,

 

Eligibility – Pass in 4 year BSc MLT with 50% marks. In the absence of  the above, those who have 3 years BSc MLT or BSc with 2 year DMLT with 50% marks  and five years experience in Government /  Recognised Medical Laboratory  can also apply.

 

• MSc Medical Microbiology,

Duration 2 years (4 semesters)

Total seats 20 + 3 NRI,

 

Eligibility – Pass in 4 year BSc Medical Microbiology with 50% marks. In the absence of the above, those who have passed 3 year BSc Microbiology /   Botany / Zoology with 50% marks can also apply.
 
Usual  relaxation in minimum marks will be allowed to SC / ST / OEC/ OBC applicants.
 
Application forms and  prospectus  can be downloaded from the University  website www.universityofcalicut.info and duly filled  in application along with a chalan receipt for Rs. 250/-,  true copies of relevant certificates  should send to the Director, School of Health Sciences, University of Calicut, Calicut University. P.O, Pin – 673635, so as to reach on or before 31st July 2009.
 
Fee structure : Tuition fee  - Rs. 23000/- per semester. Caution Deposit – Rs. 30,000/-. Admission fee – Rs. 2000/- Misc – Rs. 235/-, NRI Fees – US $ 4000 per annum. Admission fee – US $ 250.
