On completion of the three months teaching curriculum, an examination will be held and successful candidates will be awarded 'Associate Fellow of Industrial Health' which will fulfill the requirements in terms of additional qualification of Factory Medical Officers of Hazardous Process Industries as required under the Factories (Amendment) Act, 1987.
Applicant should hold an MBBS Degree from an Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India with Internship completed, Permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council and a minimum of one year experience as a full time Medical Officer in Occupational Health related work in an industry or 2 years in general practice after the date of completion of internship.
Fee is Rs. 2000/- (likely to be revised) payable by Demand Draft as Institute fee and Rs. 3000/- in cash payable to the Course Managing Committee.Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be as per Government of India rules.
Course contents include various aspects of Occupational health and Industrial Medicine Practice (Theory); Practical includes Clinical training, Educational visits, Group discussions, Project work etc.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview at Mumbai / Kolkata. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Applicant should produce all the certificates and documents in original at the time of interview. Limited non-family sharing accommodation is available in the hostel situated in the campus at nominal rates.
