Applicant for admission should have a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or equivalent thereto, from a University. Those appearing for the final examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by October 31, 2010, failing which the admission if any granted would be cancelled and fees forfeited. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and physically challenged candidates will be as per Govt. of India rules.
Admission will be through a process carrying 100 points. A weightage of 70% will be for performance in IITTM Admission Test and 15% points each for Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD). All components (Admission test, GD and PI) are compulsory. Admission test will be held on April 18, 2010 at notified centres. The test will be of 2 ½ hours duration and will have multiple choice questions in Language Proficiency, General Awareness, Numerical Ability and Reasoning. Application and Information Brochure can be downloaded from http://www.iittm.org/ Application has to be submitted to IITTM latest by March 19, 2010 with admission fees of Rs. 800/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH applicants) through a DD in favour of Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior. Those with valid CAT Score can apply by April, 26, 2010.
A prospective student should appear for IITTM Admission Test on April 18, 2010. Short-listed students will have to appear for GD and PI during May 19 to May 29, 2010, at any one of the IITTM centres. Result will be declared by June 4, 2010.
Counselling and initial fee deposit will be carried out during June 14 to June 16, 2010. Candidates will exercise choice of programme and study centre during the counselling. Admission and full fee deposit has to be done by July 21, 2010. Teaching will commence on July 21, 2010.
