EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum educational qualification for the courses are as follows:
DM - (Cardiology, Neurology): MD/DNB in General Medicine or Pediatrics or equivalent. Candidates with MD in Psychiatry with a minimum of six months residency posting in General Medicine and Neurology during the said course can also apply for DM Neurology. One seat in DM Cardiology is reserved for candidates with MD/DNB Pediatrics or equivalent qualification.
DM - (Neuroimaging & Interventional Neuroradiology): MD/DNB in Radiology/Radiodiagnosis.or equivalent.
DM - (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Anesthesia/Neuroanesthesia): MD/DNB in Anesthesia or equivalent.
M.Ch. - MS/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent qualification for 3-year courses. For 5-year programme in Neurosurgery MBBS with one year Post-registration Senior Residency/Senior House Surgeoncy in General Surgery from a University/PG Institute/Teaching Hospital recognized by the MCI/DNB for General Surgery.
Post-doctoral Certificate Courses: MD in Anesthesiology/Diagnostic Radiology, MS in General Surgery or equivalent.
PhD: Candidates with Post graduate degree in Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Physiology/Zoology or any other branch of life sciences (excluding plant sciences) with 70% marks, M.Tech in Polymer Technology/Material Science/Biomedical Engineering /Instrumentation or Post graduate degree in Public Health, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary Sciences, Statistics and Social Sciences with at least 60% marks can apply.
Master of Public Health: Medical graduates (after MBBS), Dental graduates, Graduates in Veterinary sciences, Nursing sciences or students with a postgraduate degree in Social sciences, Nutrition or allied specialties will be considered for selection. Prospective candidates will be evaluated on the basis of educational qualifications, professional experience relevant to the field of public health, written test and interview.
Post-doctoral Fellowship (PDF-after DM/MCh.-one year): DM/MCh (3 year) or equivalent qualification. (Those who will qualify by 31st December 2010 may also apply)
Nursing Courses:
(a) G.N.M. or B.Sc. Nursing
(b) For GNM candidates, one year experience as bed-side nurse after passing GNM, as on 01.01.2011.
(c) Professionally registered as a Nurse by any recognized State Nursing Council/Nursing Boards approved by the Indian Nursing Council.
Diploma in Blood Banking Technology: B.Sc degree with Zoology or Physiology as major or ancillary subject and having an aggregate of at least 60% marks in these subjects.
Diploma in Cardiac Laboratory Technology: B.Sc. Degree with Physics as major or ancillary subject with an aggregate of at least 60% marks.
Diploma in Neuro Technology: B.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Computer Science-60% aggregate.
Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology: 3 year Diploma in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering or Instrumentation.
Diploma in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology: Two-year Certificate in Radiographic Assistance (CRA)/DRT or equivalent qualification.
Diploma in Medical Records Science: B.Sc. Degree with Botany/Zoology/Statistics as major subject with an aggregate of at least 60 % marks.
Diploma in Clinical Perfusion: B.Sc Degree-Zoology as main or subsidiary with an aggregate of at least 60% marks
Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC is as per Government of India norms. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and are applying for Diploma courses are required to secure only 50% in the qualifying examinations.
