Applications have been invited by Satyajit Rai Film Institute, Kolkota for admission to 6 Months Short Term Course in "Acting for the screen" of Academic Year 2012.

Aims & Objective:
To train already trained actors towards understanding the film medium and its possibilities.
To orient actors towards utilizing the 'acting' resources.
Actors actively participate in the making of a short film.

Eligibility:
Graduate in Drama / Acting / Stagecraft from a reputed Institution Or Graduate with 5 years acting experience on stage / television.
Age: Not more than 35 years.

Completed applications are to reach Satyajit Rai Film Institute, EM Bypass Road, Panchsayar.P.O, Kolkota - 700094 along with Entrance Fee of Rs.600/- in DD in favour of Satyajit Rai Film Institute, in favour of Kolkata.

Selection:
Interested candidates apply on a standard application forms with a CD / DVD recording samples of their 'acting'. Selected candidates, (around 30) are called for an orientation course at SRFTI. Based on their performance at the orientation course, the first 12 according to merit are selected.

Important Dates:
Last date of receiving application: 27th November, 2011.
Orientation: 21st & 22nd December, 2011.
Commencement: 16th January, 2012.
