MBA Admissions 2012-2014
Applications have been invited by Department of management Studies, Indian Institute of Management (IIT), Madras for admission to MBA Course of Academic Year 2012.
MBA Program Eligibility:
The minimum academic qualifications to apply for admission to the MBA program at IIT Madras are as follows:
BE / BTech (or equivalent) with First Class (or equivalent) from a recognized Institution or University
A Master’s degree with First Class (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized Institution or University.
Final year students (of the above-mentioned program) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and produce provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program.
Sponsored Candidates:
Candidates may be sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA at IIT Madras. Candidates should forward their application through proper channel. They must have a minimum work experience of two years in the sponsoring organization. Applicants with a valid, good score in national level entrance tests such as CAT / XAT / MAT or equivalent would be preferred. They will be selected on the basis of their performance in the group task and interview. Defense personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. Candidates who are working with the Defense forces are encouraged to apply respective government agencies.
Sponsored candidates will have to appear for the group task and personal interview along with other regular candidates.
Non-Resident Indian and Foreign Nationals:
Selection shall be on the basis of:
GMAT score
Academic record
Letters of reference and
Work experience, if any
They also have to submit copies of their citizenship-related documents while applying for the program.

Applications are to be submitted online at http://www.doms.iitm.ac.in/admission and the generated hardcopy of the application should reach Admissions Co-ordinator, MBA Programme, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, Pin - 600036, Tamil Nadu on or before January 27th 2012.
Registration Fee should be enclosed (DD for Rs. 500 /- for GN & OBC, Rs. 250 /- for SC/ST/PD, Rs. 800/- for Sponsored Candidates and US $100 /- for FN / NRI) drawn in favour of "The Registrar, IIT Madras " and payable at Chennai.
