ADMISSION NOTIFICATION - 2012-2013
Applications are invited for admission into the following courses offered by the Vidhyapeetha during the academic year 2012-2013. Prescribed application forms along with prospectus can be obtained from the Vidyapeetha in person on payment of Rs.100/- through DD and by post on payment of Rs.150/- by way of DD drawn in favour of The Registrar, R.S. vidyapeetha from any nationalised Bank payable at Tirupati (or) by downloading from the Vidyapeetha website: http://rsvidyapeetha.ac.in. All the downloaded filled in applications should be submitted along with a DD for Rs.100/-.
The last date to receive the filled in applications for all courses is 08-06-2012.
For Kashmiri migrants the last date for receipt of filled in applications is 22-06-2012.
Reservation for SCs, STs, OBCs, PHCs etc., will be made applicable for admission into Vidyapeetha Courses as per the existing rules of the Government of India.
A. REGULAR PROGRAMMES:
PRAK-SASTRI (Eq. to +2/INTERMEDIATE) (with computers as special subject. SASTRI (Eq. to BA) with Computer Appplications; SASTRI Vedabhashyam (Eq. to BA); B.Sc. (Sastri) with computer science and mathematics; B.a. (I Elec. Sankrit compulsory).
II. POST GRADUATE COURSES:
ACHARYA (Eq. to MA) in 14 shastras i.e., Sahitya/Vyakarana/Jyotisha (Phalita, Sidhanta)/ Nyaya/ Advaita Vedanta/ Visishtadvaita Vedanta/ Dvaita Vedanta/ Vedabhashya/ Agama/ Sankhya Yoga/ Dharmasastra/ Puranetihasa/ Mimamsa; MA in Sanskrit (Sabdabodha Sustems and Language Technology); M.Sc. in Computer Science and Language Technology.
The following courses have been introduced under the Innovative programme sanctioned by UGC.
PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy and Stress Management: Draution: 1 year Eligibility: any graduate with second class.
Age limit: 40 years

PG Diploma in Comparati ve Aesthetics in Global Perspective: Duration: 1 year
Eligibility: Acharya or equivalent PG Degree in Sahitya Sound knowledge in English.
III. RESEARCH PROGRAMMES:
(i) VISIHTAACHARYA (M.Phil) in 14 subjects i.e.,
1. Sahitya; 2. Vyakarana; 3. Phalitha Jyotisha; 4.Siddhanta Jyotisha; 5. Nyaya; 6. Advaita Vedanta; 7. Visistadvaita Vedanta; 8. Dvaita Vedanta; 9. Agama; 10. Manuscriptology and Paleography; 11. Puranetihasa; 12. Dharmasastra; 13. Mimamsa and 14. Education.
(ii) VIDYAVARIDHI (Doctor of Philosophy) in all Asatras/ Sahitya/ Education. A Separate notification will be issued soon for conduct of Common Entrance Test regarding admission into Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D) programme in different subjects offered by Rashtriaya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, Shri Lal Bahadur Sastri Rashtriya Sanskrit vidyapeethya, New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan in its campuses for the academic year 2012-2013. Eligible candidates may look forward for details in the Notification/ website of all the above three institutions.
(iii) VIDYAVACHASPATI (D.Litt) in all Sastras and in Education.
B. EVENING & PART-TIME PROGRAMMES:
1. PG DIPLOMA in
(i) Yoga Vijnan: 1 year
(ii) Nautural Language Processing: 2 years
(iii) Web Technology: 1 year
II DIPLOMA in
(i) Temple Culture
(ii) Pourohitya
(iii) Sanskrit & Law
(iv) Management with Oriental orientation

III CERTIFICATE COURSE in

(iv) Jyotisha: 6 months
IV. Career Oriented Programmes: the Vidyapeetha offers Job-oriented Add-on courses for Sastri/BA/B.Sc students in (i) DTP in Indian Languages (ii) Web Technology (iii) Puranetihasa (iv) Vastu Sastra and (v) Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses in Translation Techniques and Creative writing in Sanskrit and Regional Languages.
* Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible students studying full time traditional courses only as per rules.
Hostel facility with subsidy in mess bills is available. No Hostel facility for Evening and Part-time course students.
