ADVERTISEMENT FOR ADMISSION TO ONE YEAR MARINE ENGINEERING PRE-SEA TRAINING COURSE (SEPTEMBER 2012 BATCH)


Applications are invited for one year Marine Engineering Pre – Sea Training Course at GRSE (ISO 9001-2008 & CARE accredited unit with state-of-the-art Simulator facility) for session September 2012 under M.O.T. Class IV, Part “A” scheme. 

Qualification: Graduates in B. E. / B. Tech. (Mechanical) / Naval Architecture from AICTE approved Engineering Colleges with 50% (min.) marks in Final Year of Engineering Graduation. 

Requirements: 50% (min.) marks in English at 10th / 12th or in Diploma (for the parallel entries in Degree Course) / Degree Course conducted by Board or University. 

Age: Age should not exceed 28 Years as on 01.09.2012 (born after 01.09.1984, age relaxation for SC & ST candidates as per prevailing Govt. Rules) are eligible to take admission for the training. 

Fitness: Candidates shall be physically fit by D.G.S. approved Doctor as per M.S. Rules. The address of D.G.S. approved Doctors in different cities are available at D. G. Shipping web site www.dgshipping.com

Procedure & Last Date: Application in plain paper with full Bio – data, duly signed indicating email address, contact no., full correspondence address with PIN Code , name of the college & university, division/ grade and percentage of marks obtained in Final Year Engr. , the attested copy of age proof from school/board, mark sheet of  10th, 12th standard or diploma (for the parallel entries in Deg. Course), all semester of degree course, final / provisional certificate from University, Bonafide certificate from College, Latest AICTE approval with date for the course of the college issued by the college should reach on or before 16.06.2012 to Incharge, Technical Training Centre, GRSE Ltd. 5, Dr. RN Tagore Road (Near Dunlop Bridge), Kolkata – 700056, along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- as application fee from any bank in favour of “Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd.” payable at Kolkata.

Police verification certificate of the candidate from permanent address area indicating that no criminal case(s) s / are pending against the candidate and Medical Fitness Certificate from Directorate General of Shipping (D.G. Shipping) approved Doctor will be required at the time of Joining on selection.  

Incomplete application in any form will be rejected.

Admission will be made as per D. G. Shipping Guidelines and 50 candidates will be admitted. 

Training fees Rs. 1,00,000/- inclusive of all Taxes & Duties (Non residential & Non refundable) for one year course to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd.” on any bank payable at Kolkata on selection of the candidate, at the time of joining. Fees for Basic Modular Course (STCW Course), Obtaining Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC), Indian National Database of Seafarers Certificate (INDOS) & Cost of Training Assessment Record (TAR) Book and Training Manual, official dress, boiler suit, safety shoes & safety helmet to be borne by Candidate separately. 

All the fees as mentioned above are received through Demand Draft and no cash is accepted. 

The Training is Non Residential, Candidates to arrange their own staying facilities and for which the Organisation / Institute is not responsible. 

Certificate of Training will be awarded to each candidate on successful completion of training. 

“The successful completion of this course does not  guarantee on board training, which is mandatory for employment”.
