COGNITIVE SCIENCE RESEARCH INITIATIVE (CSI)


Call for Concept Notes in the areas of Cognitive Science

Aiming to promote and intensify cutting edge research in Cognitive Science, Department of Science and Technology (DST) invites concept notes for their screening and then mentoring to convert them into potential research project proposals. 

The priority areas include :
i) Foundations of Cognition, ii) Language and Cognition, iii) Computational Intelligence, iv) Cognitive Psychology, v) Cognitive Neuroscience, vi) Design and Development of new tools and methodologies in Cognitive Science including brain-machine interactions, and vii) Exploring higher mental functions.

The concept notes should not be more than four (4) pages including one page bio-data of the investigator and must highlight (a) background of proposed idea and novelty in the existing knowledge, (b) objectives with clearly defined brief methodology, (c) outcomes and deliverable, (d) budget estimate, and (e) separate page note to show the expertise and experiences in the relevant area/s.

Last date of submitting concept notes is 30th June 2012.
