DEGREE PROGRAMS
The Annapurna International School of Film and Media believes obtaining a real degree – at graduation or post graduate level – is a critical part of the education of any student aspiring to a career in media.
Why? Because a degree, Master’s or MBA offers the chance to go beyond the ‘technical’ skills taught in short courses, and provides the student with a fundamental grounding in varying aspects of culture and society, including psychology, philosophy, literature, math and economics. Lessons in all these areas enrich the student’s life, both professionally and personally, and help the student fulfill their potential no matter what track in media their life takes them on.
But a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree also a ticket. It opens doors anywhere in the world. Want to go on to graduate school? You better have your Bachelor’s under your belt, or you can’t even apply. Want to pursue a career at the top echelons of the business world? Again, you better have the degree on your resume or you don’t even get in the door.
The Annapurna International School of Film and Media is a first of its kind in India. It combines a rigorous and internationally recognized degree/Master’s program with intense training in specific areas of media — producing, directing, animation, editing, cinematography and acting for now; graphic design, news, sound recording, writing, and many other areas later.

Admissions are currently open for the 2012 short courses. If you have questions on course content, eligibility, the application process, or even careers in the film and media industry, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Please note that while students will generally have the option of making films and performing in their language of choice, all courses are taught in English to ensure equal learning opportunity to students from around India and around the world. A reasonable proficiency in English is required for admission.

All short courses have strictly limited class sizes, to ensure a personal teaching environment, and many of the courses have selective entry. For these reasons, we encourage you to apply as early as possible so that our admissions staff can help guide you through the selection process.
To apply for a short course:
Complete the application form. Forms are available within our brochures, from our admissions office or on our website.
Post your form and fee payment, or bring them in person to our admissions office.
Some courses will have additional selection requirements, such as interviews or auditions. Contact the admissions office for complete details.

APPLY FOR DEGREE COURSES
Admissions are now open for our revolutionary degree, masters and MBA programs in film, media, animation, and management.
For the first time in India students finishing their 10+2 or graduation have the option of a bachelors/graduation/masters program that combines a broad liberal arts education with intensive training in film, acting or animation. We believe that in order to be a great filmmaker, technical skills alone are insufficient. Filmmakers should have a fundamental grounding in varying aspects of culture and society, including religion, psychology, philosophy, literature, math and economics.
Lessons in all these areas enrich the student’s life, both professionally and personally, and help the student fulfil their potential no matter what track in media their life takes them.
Our degree programs will be fully government accredited and will feature exchange opportunities with universities around the world.
Admissions Procedure
Call our admissions office on 040 4914 1234 or email info@isfm.edu.in to request the application form.
Complete the application form and attach your Statement of Purpose and other required documents.
Courier the package to AISFM.
If your application is shortlisted, you will be called for a personal interview at the school. Students are encouraged to bring family members with them on the interview day.
Some courses will have additional tests on the interview day.
After your interview, if you are selected as a student, you will be notified by phone. Your offer letter will be couriered to you.
