Applications must reach the NBE office by the close
of office on the cut-off date mentioned above. No concession shall be given on
any ground including postal delays or delivery delays.

3. Candidates who have taken DNB Final examination
in Cardiology held in June 2013 and declared fail in Practical examination can
apply for only practical examination of December 2013 session latest by 31st
January 2014.
All the correspondence should be addressed to the Executive Director, National Board of

Delhi-110029. Candidates are requested to kindly superscribe the envelope with
the subject matter of the correspondence for expeditious processing.

ELIGIBILITY
(A) Final
DNB Training (Post DNB 3 Years)
Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB
trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited institute /medical
college /hospital after having registered with the Board as a DNB trainee and
are completing their 3/6 years of training by 30th April 2014 can undertake the
Board’s exam in the same specialty subjected to completion of training by the
date mentioned & submission of certificate to this effect.
(B) Part-I
(For Direct 6 Years Course only)
DNB candidates undergoing direct 6 years courses in
Plastic surgery, Pediatric surgery, Cardio Thoracic Surgery and Neurosurgery
can apply for Part-I examination if they are completing their first 2 years of
DNB training on or before 30th June 2014.
(C) DM/MCh :
Candidates who have passed/passing their DM/MCh final examinations on/before
31st October 2013 can apply for the DNB final examinations in the same Super
Specialty.
Candidates to ensure before applying for DNB Final
examination that the post doctoral degree awarded to them is from an Indian
University and is duly recognized as per Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act,
1956.
Submission of proof of having passed the DM/MCh
final exam. on / before 31st October, 2013 is an essential pre-requisite. In
case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of passing DM/MCh before
15th November, 2013 his/her application shall be rejected and fees forfeited.
All candidates registered with the Board have to
submit a self-attested copy of the registration letter/registration number
issued by NBE with the application form for final exam.

Part l (Theory) Examination for Direct 6 years
Courses shall be conducted only at Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai Centres.
The exact venue will be informed to the eligible
candidates by post through admit card.
National Board of Examinations reserves its right
to cancel/add any other centre including those mentioned herein above.
The candidate(s) shall appear at the center
allocated by the National Board at his/her own cost and arrangement.
The Board also reserves the
right to allocate centers to the candidates for appearing in the exam at any
center across the country.

FEE
STRUCTURE
Candidates are required to submmit the following
fees.
a. DNB Final Exam and Direct 6 Years Part-I Examination
(Theory + Ist Attempt practical) Rs. 3550/-
b. DNB Final (Only Practical- Final attempt) Rs.
3600/-
c. Registration Fees (Only for DM/MCh Pass candidates
taking DNB Exam) Rs. 1000/-
Application forms downloaded from website of NBE
must include application form fee of Rs. 750 along with exam fees.
Deposition of Fees.
By Cash Deposit
The fee as above can be deposited at any branch of
the Indian Bank or Axis Bank; The list of branches of Axis Bank and Indian Bank
can be seen at their website www.axisbank.com and www.indianbank.in
respectively. Kindly use the pay-in-slip provided along with this Information
Bulletin for this purpose.
Pay-in-slip can also be downloaded from NBE Website
www.natboard.edu.in.
NBE copy of pay-in-slip is required to be submitted
in original alongwith application form.
Absentees from the examination will forfeit their
examination fee.
Candidates are advised to read the rule position
carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility
criteria.
FEES SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD
IF THE APPLICATION FOR DNB EXAMINATIONS IS REJECTED/CANDIDATURE IS FOUND TO BE
INELIGIBLE.
