Candidates having minimum 55% marks at P.G
Examination in Gerontology, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Biochemistry,
Neuroscience, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology or Home Science from any
recognized University and age between 22 and 35 as on 01/07/13 are eligible to
apply.

Master’s degree in Biological (Gerontology,Zoology,Botany,Biotechnology,Biochemistry,Neuroscience)and
Social(Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Home Science)from any recognized University
Age between 22 and 35 years as on July
01 of the admission year
SELECTION AND ADMISSION
On the basis of marks obtained at the
Qualifying Examination besides Aptitude Test and/or Personal
Interview
Written Test, if conducted, shall
consist of 50 multiple choice type questions related to biological
and social sciences streams
Reservation for SC,ST and OBC
categories as per existing Government policies/University norm

Enrolled students in a group of four
will be required to carry out Team Project Work on a
topic selected from the general areas of studies throughout the course.
However, each student will have to make individual oral presentation of the
project work during Paper III examination. Some of the suggested areas for
undertaking project work related to elderly issues are listed below:-

EXAMINATION AND RESULT
University Examination will be at the
end of the session. Each theory paper shall have a total
of nine questions comprising one compulsory question of multiple choice type
and eight elective questions of subjective/descriptive type. Besides the
compulsory question, candidates will have to answer any four subjective
questions. All questions in both the theory papers shall carry equal marks(20
each).Dissertation prepared as per the standardized format and submitted in
duplicate in partial fulfillment of the course in Paper III prior to
commencement of examination of theory papers shall be evaluated by the set of
examiners comprising one external and one internal.
Result shall be declared on the basis
of marks obtained in all the three papers viz. Paper I,
Paper II and Paper III. The criteria of result declaration will be as under:-
Pass 36% minimum in theory papers and 40% in
dissertation paper.
Second class- 45% minimum
First Class-60% minimum

Rs 6,000/- only(One time remittance at
the time of admission)
In addition to the course fee, students
will have to bear the actual training/project expenses besides living
expenses on their own, if required.
Applications can be obtained (in prescribed
Performa) from the Course Coordinator, University Department of Zoology,
Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga on remittance of Rs. 125/- (only) through Cash or DD
payable to PGDGC at Darbhanga. ( Self-addressed envelope with stamp of Rs. 25/-
only must for postal dispatch). Downloaded applications with DD of Rs. 125/-
(only) also acceptable.
