VIT Engineering Entrance Examination - VITEEE-2014
VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2014 to be
conducted as a Computer Based Test will be held from 9th April 2014 to 20th
April 2014. Applicant should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National,
should have been born on or after 1st July 1992 and should have either
completed or shall be appearing in 2014, in any one of the following qualifying
examinations:
The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher
Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination
(ISCE, New Delhi) ; Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination
conducted by a recognized Board/ University
High School Certificate Examination of the
Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the
International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva, General Certificate Education (GCE)
examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level. Only those
who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are eligible to
apply.
Applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60%
in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination
(+2/Intermediate). The average marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together
should be 50% for those belonging to SC/ST and those hailing from Jammu and
Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur,
Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

www.vit.ac.in/admissions/Programmes.asp Those who have studied Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics are eligible for all the 14 B.Tech Programmes. Applicants who have
studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech Bio-Medical
Engineering and Biotechnology programmes. They are also eligible for B.Tech.
Computer Science and Engineering (Spec. in Bioinformatics) But after joining,
it is mandatory for them to register for Mathematics as bridge course.
VITEEE-2014 Application forms will be available from 4th
December 2013 onwards. VITEEE-2014
online application forms will be available at www.vit.ac.in from 4th December 2013 onwards. Softcopy (scanned
copy) of recently taken passport size colour photograph with 50kb-100kb
(Dimensions-3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) in JPG / JPEG format, Softcopy (scanned copy) of
Signature of the Candidate with 20kb-50kb (Dimensions-3.5 cm x 1.5 cm ) in JPG
/ JPEG format, Internet Banking facility through Net banking / Debit card /
Credit card, Online form through DD mode with DD of 925 /- drawn in favour of VIT University,
payable at Vellore are needed while registering.
It is mandatory to send the hardcopy of the
filled-out application form to VIT University. All correspondence including
centre booking and issue of e-admit card details will be through email only. Therefore,
the applicants are requested to get ready with valid email id and mobile number
for contact.
The offline application form can be obtained
against cash payment of 975/- from
designated branches of Post Offices as
per the list available at www.vit.ac.in/admissions/plist.asp or by sending a
Demand Draft for 975/- [Computerized
DD] drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of
Director-UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter
containing the complete address with Mobile number or by handing over a DD
of 975/- in person at VIT University at
one of the following addresses.
