Master of Science (M.Sc) Admission Notice 2014
Applications have been invited by Forest Research
Institute, Dehradun, for Online entrance test leading to admission for Master
of Science courses of Academic Year 2014. The Forest Research Institute
University admission test, 2013 will be held at 38 centres in the country on
Sunday, 11th May, 2014.
I.Courses
and the eligibility for admission are as follows:
1) M.Sc. Forestry :
Three years bachelor’s degree in science with at
least one of the subjects namely Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics,
Physics, Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
2) M.Sc Wood Science & Technology:
Three years bachelor’s degree with Physics,
Mathematics and Chemistry or B.Sc. degree in Forestry.
3) M.Sc Environment Management:
Three years bachelor’s degree in any branch of
Basic or Applied Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Agriculture or BE
in Environment Science.
4) M.Sc. Cellulose & Paper Technology:
Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects. BE/B.Tech. (Chemical or
Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% aggregate).
Candidates who are in the final year of their BSc /
MSc may also apply.
The maximum age limit in respect of in-service
candidate to M.Sc. Environment Management course shall be 50 years. The age
shall be reckoned as on 31st July of the year of admission and no further
relaxation will be given in any case.
The minimum age limit for admission to M.Sc.
courses shall be 19 and 21 years respectively. The age shall be reckoned as on
31st July 2014 and no further relaxation will be given to the candidate.
Application
Procedure:
Students have to apply online as available on
website http://fri.icfre.gov.in or may also download the application form from
the website http://fri.icfre.gov.in which are in MS word format. The fees is to be
paid through bank challan automatically generated while applying online at any
State Bank of India (SBI) branch. The completed application form (if applying
offline) alongwith a bank draft of Rs. 1200/- (Rupees twelve thousand only) for
each course payable at Dehradun in favour of Registrar, FRI (Deemed) University
is to be sent at “EXON SOLUTIONS PVT LTD, E- 2/5 , 2nd Floor, Malviya Nagar,
New Delhi -110017”. EXON Solutions is an authorized agency for collection of
forms and Demand drafts for FRI (Deemed) University.
The last date of submission of Online Registration is 14th
April, 2014 and Closing date of Depositing challan in Bank is 16th April, 2014.
