Summer and Winter Students' Programme 2014
Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) has
invited applications for Summer and Winter Students' Programme in which
students participate in research and developmental work that are of interest in
SINP. This programme is normally offered between the months of May and July for
the Summer Programme and November and December for the Winter Programme. The
expected duration of a summer project is approximately 8 weeks and that of a
winter project is approximately 4 weeks.
Areas of research in SINP include Biophysics,
Chemical Sciences, Crystallography & Molecular Biology, Experimental Condensed Matter Physics,
Experimental High Energy Physics, Microelectronics, Nuclear & Atomic Physics, Plasma Physics,
Surface Physics, Theoretical Physics, Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics,
Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology.
Eligibility:
First year M.Sc./equivalent B. Tech. students with
excellent academic records in Physical/Chemical/Life Sciences are encouraged to
apply. The applicants doing an integrated M.Sc. should have completed at least
3 years. Only those candidates whose academic interests overlap with areas
being pursued in SINP will be considered.

Take a print out of the application for your
record. In addition to the application, the candidate must submit a letter of
recommendation.
Photocopies of mark sheets and other supporting
documents will be required once the names of shortlisted candidates are
published in our future webpage announcement.
Deadline for receipt of applications (for the
summer programme) is February 28, 2014.
Recommendation may be filled up as soft copy by
teacher / academic advisor using the recommendation format and can be sent by
e-mail to summer.sinp@saha.ac.in or before February 28,
