Panjab University, Chandigarh has invited
applications for admission to M.Ed (Regular and Correspondence) courses of the
academic year 2015
PU M.Ed Entrance Exam 2015 - Panjab University
Master of Education Entrance Exam is taken by the Panjab University to admit
students in M.Ed courses i.e M.Ed (regular) for the department of education,
Colleges of Education situated in Chandigarh and Panjab, which are affiliated
to PU and for M.Ed (two years correspondence courses for in-service teachers)

Eligibility for PU MEd Entrance Exam 2015
M.Ed (Regular) 2 Year Course: Candidates who apply
for M.Ed Regular course in PU M.Ed Entrance Test have to pass B.Ed with 55%
aggregate marks, if belonging to General category, while 50% if they are from
SC or ST or OBC
Qualifying marks for Entrance Test are 20% (15% in
case of SC /ST/BC and blind candidates)
M.Ed (through Correspondence) 2 Years Course
Eligibility for Entrance Test is 55% in B.Ed (50%
in case of SC/ST & BC candidates)
M.Ed (through Correspondence) course is only for
in-service teachers, with two years paid work experience, in a school
recognized by a Board of School Education estd by law, or in College affiliated
to or recognized by a university (part-time experience shall also be counted
towards teaching experience if the teaching was done as paid teaching) and are
working at the time of admission i.e. in-service at the time of admission
Qualifying marks for Entrance Test are 20% (15% in
case of SC /ST/BC and blind candidates)
Note: The candidates who have appearing / appeared
in the B.Ed examination of any recognized University in June 2015 are also
eligible provisionally to take the M.Ed Entrance Test being conducted by Panjab
University
The candidates who have passed/appeared in the
qualifying examination from any of the following universities (declared as fake
by the UGC) are ineligible to appear in the Entrance Tests, as these institutions
have been derecognized by the Panjab University)

Entrance Exam Syllabus
PU M.Ed Entrance Exam will consists of questions
from the foundation course curricula of the following papers in B.Ed of the
Panjab University
1) Philosophical and Sociological Basis of
Education
2) The Leaner - Nature and Development (Educational
Psychology)
3) Teaching - Learning Process
4) School Management
5) Guidance and Counselling
Entrance Exam Pattern
M.Ed Entrance Test will be of 1 hour 30 minutes
duration and shall comprise of 75 questions of one mark each
The test shall be objective type
Each question shall have four choice labeled as A,
B, C, and D
The candidate shall have to select one best
response and darken the bubble bearing it on the OMR answer sheet
Note
1) The test will be in English Language only
2) There shall be negative marking to the tune of
25% marks dedication for every wrong answer
The final merit for admission shall be computed by
giving 50% weightage to entrance test and 50% weightage to the qualifying
examination
Besides other permissible weightages such as NCC,
NSS, Cultural activities, Youth Welfare and weightage of passing last
examination from Panjab University as per University rules wherever applicable
will be added

The online Application Form for Entrance Test 2015
is available on Panjab University Website www.medadmissions.puchd.ac.in
Fees to be deposited for online application form
for General category (Rs.1980/-) and SC/ST category (Rs.990/-) is different
Before depositing fee for online form the candidate
is required to register online, submit information on the website and generate
the Bank challan
Candidates are required to submit fee details
(journal no; branch code and date of deposit of fee given Bank) and upload
photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website www.medadmissions.puchd.ac.in
Entrance Exam Fee
Fee to be deposited for online application form for
General category it is Rs.1980/- and SC/ST category it is Rs.990/-
The Panjab University does not undertake any
responsibility for any postal delay or delay in delivery by courier or by any
other means or for loss in transit of the application form

The Entrance Exam will be held only in Chandigarh
on 27th June 2015 (Saturday, 11.30 am)
