Head and Neck Surgical Oncology
Fellowship
The Regional
Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram has
invited applications for admission to Head And Neck Surgical Oncology
Fellowship 2015. Duration of the Course shall be two years from the date of
commencement of the course. The date of commencement of the course will be
01/08/2015 or date of commencement as certified by the Director, RCC for those
admitted later.
Eligibility
for admission:
Applicants
should satisfy the following conditions:
a) Nativity:
i. Should be
an Indian Citizen
ii. Should
have passed the MS from any of the Medical Colleges in India, recognized by the
Medical Council of India or DNB from an institute in India, approved by the
National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
b) Basic
Academic Qualifications:
i. MBBS
Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India
ii.
Appropriate Post Graduate Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India or
appropriate DNB of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
Appropriate
Post Graduate qualification required for applying for the course will be
• MS / DNB
ENT
• MS / DNB
General Surgery
iii.
Candidates should have their MBBS / PG Degrees registered permanently with
Medical Council (India / State).
Note:
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the MS / DNB examination may
apply but the provisional or permanent PG Degree certificate should be produced
at the time of admission if selected, failing which admission will not be
granted.
c) Age:
Upper age limit is 35 years, as on 30th April 2015. Age relaxation of five
years is applicable to all SC/ST candidates and RCC in-service candidates.
How to
apply:
Aspiring
candidates are to download and fill the application form from link: http://www.rcctvm.org
and submit
it along with the application fee. Completed application form should reach the
Director’s Office on or before 4 pm on 19th June 2015.
Application
fee: Application fee for the course would be Rs 1000/- (Thousand rupees only).
Fee should be submitted as a Demand Draft payable at State Bank of Travancore,
Medical College Branch, Thiruvananthapuram or any of its service branches
payable at Thiruvananthapuram for Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of 'Director,
Regional Cancer Centre'.
Selection
process
a) The
application forms will be scrutinized and the list of candidates fulfilling the
eligibility criteria will be displayed on the RCC website on 22nd June 2015. No
individual communication will be sent in this regard and the candidates need to
appear for a screening test followed by an interview on 04th July 2015 at the
Directors Conference Hall at RCC.
b) The
screening test will be a written test and candidates will be shortlisted for
the interview to be held on the same day based on the marks obtained in the
screening test.
