PG and UG ADMISSIONS 2009-2010

Footwear Design and Development Institute, A-10/A, Sector-24, Noida-201301, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India, has invited applications for admission to the various PG and UG Programmes offered at Noida, Rae Bareli and Chennai Campuses.

The Post Graduate Programmes of 2 years duration include
(i) PG Diploma in Retail Management (PGDRM) (60 seats each at Noida and Fursatganj)
(ii) PG Diploma in Management-Footwear Technology (PGDM-FT) (60 seats each at Noida and Fursatganj and 30 seats at Chennai)
(iii) PG Diploma in Creative Designing & CAD-CAM (PGDCD) (30 seats at Noida)
(iv) PG Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (PGDLGAD) (30 seats at Noida).

Graduation or equivalent Degree is the eligibility for admission to the PG Programmes. Those appearing in the final year examinations can also apply.

The Under Graduate Programmes are
(i) Diploma in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management (DFMRM) (60 seats each at Noida and Fursatganj)
(ii) Diploma in Footwear Technology (DFT) (60 seats each at Noida and Fursatganj and 30 seats at Chennai)
(iii) Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (DLGAD)  (25 seats each at Noida and Fursatganj)

Eligibility for admission to the UG Programmes is 10+2. Those appearing in 10+2 examinations can also apply.

Eligible candidates will have to undergo an All India Selection Test (AIST) that consists of a Written Examination, Group Discussion/Design Aptitude Test & Personal Interview. Written examination will be conducted on 12th, 13th and 14th June 2009 in multiple sessions. Candidates have option to choose the date according to their convenience. Written examination will be conducted at Agra, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Fursatganj, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Mumbai, Noida, Patna and Ranchi. Those applying for PG Diploma in Creative Designing & CAD /CAM (PGDCD), PG Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (PGDLGAD) and Diploma in Leather Goods & Accessories Design (DLGAD) will have to undergo Design Aptitude Test also.

Applications form and Prospectus can be obtained from FDDI, Noida, by Courier on sending a DD for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of FDDI, payable at New Delhi/Nioda with name and address written on the back side of the Draft. Last date for issue of admission form is 21st May 2009.
Last date for receipt of filled in applications at Footwear Design and Development Institute, A-10/A, Sector-24, Noida-201301 is also 21st May 2009.
