DM/ MCh/ PDCC/ PDF/ Senior Resident (Hospital Services)

 

Applications are invited from qualified Indian nationals for admission/ appointment to DM/MCh/PDCC/PDF/Senior Resident (Hospital Services) in the following specialties for session commencing from July, 2009

Eligibility:

Essential Qualifications for DM/M.Ch Courses: MD (Medicine/ Paediatrics) for DM courses. For Medical Genetics, candidates with MD (Medicine/Paediatrics) or MD/MS (Obst. & Gyne.) may also apply. MS in Surgery for M.Ch. courses, respectively or any other equivalent qualification recognized by Medical council of India for this purpose.

Essential Qualifications for Senior Residents (Hospital Services): MD (Medicine/ Paediatrics) for Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Clinical Haematology, Genetics and Neurology; MD Paediatric for Paediatric Gastroenterology; For Medical Genetics MD (Medicine/Paediatrics) or MD/MS (Obst. & Gyne.), MD/MS (Obst. & Gyne) for Maternal & Reproductive Health, MS for C.V.T.S., Endocrine Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology/ Liver Transplantation, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgical Super specialities, MD in respective specialty for Anaesthesiology, Microbiology, Pathology, Radiodiagnosis, Radiotherapy. For Nuclear Medicine MD (Nuclear Medicine) / MBBS with DRM or any other equivalent qualification recognized by MCI; For Transfusion Medicine, MD (Transfusion Medicine/ Pathology) or MBBS with Ph.D. in Transfusion Medicine; for Critical Care Medicine MD in Anaesthesiology/ Pulmonary Medicine/ Internal Medicine or Paediatric; for Lab Haematology MD in Transfusion Medicine/Pathology or any other equivalent qualification recognized by Medical council of India.

Essential Qualifications for PDF Courses: DM (Nephrology) for Renal Transplantation Medicine, M.Ch (Urology) for Renal Transplantation Surgery, M.Ch (Neurosurgery) for Pediatric Neurosurgery and Neurosurgical Oncology. M.Ch. (CVTS) for Paediatrics Cardiac Surgery/Minimally Invasive Cardiac Vascular and Thoracic Surgery or any other equivalent qualification recognized by Medical council of India. For PDF courses candidate should submit a write up of about 200 words to describe the work done by him/her in the area, the reason for applying for PDF course and what he/she wants to do after PDF. He/She should also give names of two referees.

Age limit: Upper age limit for eligibility is 35 Years on the first day of the month of start of the Session i.e. on 01/07/2009. Age relaxation of a maximum of 5 years may be given to SC/ST/OBC candidates (only those having Domicile in the state of Uttar Pradesh). Reservation to widowed/divorced/legally-separated women who have not re-married and disabled/ handicapped persons will be as per Government rules. There is no upper age limit for PDF Course.

Application procedure:

The information brochure and application forms can be downloaded from the Institute's website [http://www.sgpgi.ac.in] during Saturday 25th April 2009 to Wednesday 20th May 2009. The candidates will have to fill up the APPLICATION FORM ONLINE. After online submission a print out of filled in application form MUST be taken and sent to Executive Registrar SGPGIMS Lucknow 226014 along with all relevant documents in support of age, qualification, experience, reservation etc and duly signed by the candidate. A bank draft of Rs. 1,000/- towards examination fee should also be attached with the application form. The Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, SGPGIMS, Lucknow Academic Account, drawn on SBI, SGPGI Branch, (Code No. 7789), payable at Lucknow.
