Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram, fully funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and having major research programmes in Disease Biology & Molecular Medicine as well as Plant Biotechnology & Discovery, has invited applications from Post Graduates in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences and Medicine Graduates for admission to the PhD Programmes of the Centre, currently affiliated to University of Kerala
Applicants must have a consistent first class academic record (not less than 60% aggregate) and a valid research fellowship from UGC/CSIR/ICMR/Category A of DBT. Those who do not have valid fellowships need not apply. However, candidates with Professional Degrees- MBBS, MD, M.Tech, M.VSc, M.Pharm and M.Sc (Agri) may apply even if they have no valid fellowship.

Short listed candidates will be notified by e-mail on June 10, 2009 and will be called for a selection interview to be held at the Centre on July 1 and July 2, 2009.
