The admission to the Programme will be based on an Entrance Test to be held at Shimla, Dharamshala, Chandigarh & Delhi on 28th June, 2009. There are 60 seats for the course.
Applicant should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, securing 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent Grade. Applications have also been invited for admission to the 6 seats through Lateral Entry, at the Institute. Applicant should be bonafide Himachali with 60% marks in B.Sc with Mathematics and Physics or Diploma of three years (after Matric) from HP State Board of Technical Education or equivalent in nay branch.
Admission to Lateral Entry will be based on the marks in the three years of Diploma or B.Sc Degree with Mathematics and Physics. Application and Prospectus can be obtained from the Office of the Director, UIIT, HP University, on payment of Rs.1000/- at the counter. It can be obtained by Post by sending a Bank Draft for RS.1100/- drawn in favour of UIIT, HP University, Shimla-171005.
The last date for receipt of filled up applications is 30th May, 2009
