Indian Society for Training & Development, has announced the admission to the Diploma In Training & Development Programme of 18 months duration through Distance learning, commencing in January 2010.
The Programme aims at helping those engaged/wish to engage themselves in developmental aspects of Human Resource Development activities, providing orientation skills of Training and Development, as well as the specialization in functional areas of Training and Human Resource Development to those who wish to obtain a professional orientation in this area, contributing to the career development of such persons who seek further advancement on the basis of a recognized professional qualification in training and development and assisting those who aspire to have life skills to become better learners and those believe that learning is living with growth.
Applicant should be a Graduate of recognized university or its equivalent and should have a minimum of two years experience in the capacity of an Executive, Faculty, Administrator, Supervisor, Manager, Trainer or HR Practitioner in an organization OR should hold a Post-Graduate Degree or equivalent Diploma in Business Management, Personnel Management or any other recognized discipline OR should hold a Professionally recognized qualification like BE, ME, MBBS, CAIIB, ACA, AICWA, M Ed etc. inclusive of Degree level education OR should be an Armed Forces Officer who has successfully undergone course at NDA /IMA / OTA/ Air Force Academy / Indian Naval Academy and has a minimum of two years working experience.

(i) Eight Theory Papers divided into Part A & Part B consisting of four papers each
(ii) Response Sheets, to be submitted, for each paper, before appearing in the written examination for that paper
(iii) Internship Project, to be taken up after clearing Part-A theory papers. The report will be accepted on clearing of all the written papers and completion of 18 months prescribed period.
Examinations are presently conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Chittorgarh, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderababd, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Neyveli, Pune, Ranchi, Silvassa, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam. However, new examination center(s) may be introduced subject to availability of at least 15 examinees per center. Approved examination enters may be dropped, if the number of examinees fall short of the minimum requirement.
Prospectus and Admission form can be obtained by sending a DD/MO for Rs.300/-. It can be obtained from the Diploma Office, New Delhi by paying Cash. Prospectus and Admission form can also be downloaded from http://istddiploma.org/admission.asp in which case, the cost of the Prospectus (Rs.300/-) has to be deposited with the filled up form. The form, duly filled in, must be accompanied by

(ii) Full Course Fees of Rs.25,000/- in one lump sum or in two equal installments of Rs.12,700/- each, by cash or Demand Draft (A concession of Rs.5000/- in the course fee is allowed for Armed Forces officials (including retired) and SC/ST applicants subject to production of proper certificate testifying the above with the application for enrolment. The concession full course fees of Rs.20,000/- can be paid in one lump sum or in two equal installments of Rs.10,200/- each by cash or Demand Draft)
(iii) attested copies of Degree/ Diploma, work experience in fulfillment of eligibility criteria (attestation by Gazetted officer, above, are acceptable)
(iv) Two stamp size photographs. The full course fee is towards the supply of course material, ISTD Journal for one year and Internship Project Fee.
DDs should be taken in favour of 'ISTD Diploma Programme', payable at New Delhi. Last date for receipt of completed admission forms is 30th November, 2009.
