ADMISSIONS 2010-2012

National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), a Post Graduate Institute in Construction Management, Project Management, Real Estate and related fields, has invited applications for admission to the following Programmes.

Full Time On-Campus Programmes commencing in July 2010

(i) Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Advanced Construction Management (PGP ACM) is offered from Pune, Hyderabad and Goa and aims at training Engineers and Architects to become techno-commercial managers capable of handling projects in construction business and infrastructure development. Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/Architecture with 50% marks.

(ii) Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Project Engineering and Management (PGP PEM), is offered from Pune and aims at training professional Project Engineers/Managers for multidisciplinary projects in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil and other business sectors. Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering with 50% marks.

(iii) Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management (PGP REUIM) is offered at Pune, aimed at training of professional Architects and Engineers for positions of leadership in reputed real estate technical consultancies, development corporations, finance and investment organizations. Applicant should have Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering / Architecture with 50% marks.

(iv) One Year Post Graduate Programme in Health, Safety and Environment Management (PGP HSEM) offered from Hyderabad, aims at developing professionally qualified and trained Safety Professionals to work at a strategic level within organizations and to help ensure that they have influence in achieving best practices in health, safety and environmental management. Applicant should have a Batchelor Degree in Engineering in any discipline or Diploma in Engineering with 5 years of supervisory experience and 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

(v) One Year Post Graduate Programme in Quantity Surveying (PGP QS), offered from Hyderabad aims at training professional quantity surveyors with distinctive expertise in measurement, cost management, construction economics and contractual matters for construction business and infrastructure development sector. Applicant should hold Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/Architecture with 50% marks.

Those expecting final year's result by October 2010 may also apply for all these courses.

Part Time Week-End Post Graduate Programmes:

(vi) Post Graduate Programme in Construction Management for Working Executives (PGP CMWE), a 12 month programme, offered from Mumbai, commences in February 2010. It is designed to train working construction executives to enhance their managerial and inter-personal skills and acquaint them with emerging trends in construction management practice and project execution. Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering with 2 years experience or Diploma in any branch of Engineering with 4 years experience.

(vii) Post Graduate Programme in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management for Working Executives (PGP QSCM), a 12 month Programme, is offered from Mumbai and commences in January 2010.

It trains the working construction executives to acquire competency in measurement, estimation and preparation of quantities and submission of tenders, contract administration, arbitration and dispute resolution, proficiency in IT applications in QSCM. Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering with 2 years experience or Diploma in any branch of Engineering with 4 years experience.

Distance Education Programmes commencing January 2010

(viii) Two Year Post Graduate Programmes in

(i) Construction Management (PGPCM)

(ii) Project Management (PGP PM) and

(iii) Infrastructure Development and Management (PGP IDM).

 

Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering or should be a Bachelor in any Non-Engineering discipline with 2 years work experience

(ix) One Year Graduate Programmes  in

(i) Construction Project Management

(ii) Building Maintenance Management

(iii) Construction Contracts Management

(iv) Highway Project Management

(v) Oil & Gas Pipelines Project Management

(vi) Construction Business Management

(vii) Construction Safety Management and

(viii) Quantity Surveying. Applicant should have Diploma in any branch of Engineering.

(x) Six Months Graduate Certificate Programmes in

(i) Construction Contracts Management

(ii) Construction Quality Management

(iii) Construction Business Management

(iv) Site Personnel Management

(v) Construction Safety Management

(vi) Construction Equipment Management.

 

Applicant should have Diploma in any branch of Engineering.

Prospectus & Application Form for courses at Sl. No (i) to (iii) can be obtained from any office of NICMAR on payment of Rs. 1200/- by Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'NICMAR, Pune'. It can also be downloaded from http://www.nicmar.ac.in/ and submitted with an Application fee of Rs. 1200/- by DD in favour of 'NICMAR, Pune'. An additional amount of Rs.600/- has to be paid for all the three combined ACM+ PEM + REUIM applications.
