1) Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English (PGCTE)
2) Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE)
Candidates with an M. A. degree in English or in an allied subject (Linguistics, Education, Mass Communication or Psychology) OR an M.A. (in any discipline) with at least a second class along with 5 years of experience of teaching "Methods of Teaching English" at the M. Ed/B. Ed. level can apply for PGCTE course.
Candidates seeking admission to PGDTE must have passed Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English or Semester 1 of the Residential PGDTE from EFL University (CIEFL).
Fee structure of PGCTE for Indian nationals living in India (includes Registration, Student Welfare Fund, Development Fund and Postage) is Rs.5,600/- (Rs.3400/- for SC/ST) and the same of PGDTE for Indian nationals living in India (includes Registration, Student Welfare Fund and Development Fund and Postage) is Rs.6100/- (Rs.3650/- for SC/ST).
Application form can be obtained by making a request to the 'The Dean, School of Distance Education, The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad 500 605' enclosing a crossed D.D. for Rs.520/- (Rs.260/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of the Registrar, EFL University, Hyderabad 500 605.
Application form can also be downloaded from the website: www.efluniversity.ac.in however a demand draft for an amount of Rs.520/-(Rs.260/- for SC/ST) towards the cost of the application form and another demand draft for the course fees as mentioned above has to be attached along with the filled-in forms.
Completed applications are to reach 'The Dean, School of Distance Education, The English and Foreign Languages University (Osmania University Campus), Hyderabad-500 605' on or before 28 February 2011.
