MHT-CET 2011 on May 12
Govt. of Maharashtra shall conduct a single combined “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2011 on Thursday, 12th May 2011, for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2011-2012 for admission in:
1) Govt./Municipal Corp./ Govt. Aided Colleges and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Health Sciences degree courses.
2) Govt. / Govt. Aided/University Managed Colleges / University Departments / Autonomous Colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses
3) BVSc & AH degree course.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:
HEALTH SCIENCES:
1. For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BPMT : A candidate belonging to Open Category must have obtained not less than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation backward class and constitutional reservation with physically handicapped claim must have obtained not less than 40% (i.e. 120 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. Physically handicapped candidate in general catogery must secure not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together at HSC (or equivalent) examination.
2. For BSc. Nursing - A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at HSC (or equivalent) examination. A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at HSC(or equivalent) Exam.
3. For BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP and BP&O courses: Passing grade at HSC/12th Standard or equivalent examination is necessary.
4. For admission to BP&O candidates who have passed 12th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and / or Mathematics are eligible.
5. For admission to BASLP, candidates who have passed 12th standard examination with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and/or Mathematics and/or Computer Science are eligible.
PHARMACY:
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics AND Secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics added together (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics shall be considered for the purpose of addition) AND Obtained a non zero score at MHT-CET
2011.
ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGY:
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Obtained a non zero score in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at MHT-CET 2011.
APPLICATION FORMS:
Maharashtra State candidates appearing for HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination or who have passed their qualifying examination earlier i.e. 2010 or before and desire to appear for the MHT- CET 2011 will receive their application form from their respective Jr. College / School ( from where they have passed / appearing qualifying examination).
A single Application form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be made available from 23/03/2011 to 31/03/2011 at the following places:
• At respective Jr. College / High School
• At Divisional Authorities (For candidates who have appeared/passed HSC (12th Std.) or equivalent examination from Outside Maharashtra)
The cost of the Application Form along with the three information brochures of MHT-CET-2011 and Examination fee is Rs.700/- for open category and all Outside Maharashtra candidates and Rs.500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State Only).
The candidates from Outside Maharashtra (OMS) can purchase application form and Information brochure(s) of MHT-CET 2011 from any Divisional Authority office by submitting Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- drawn in favour of "Competent Authority, MH-CET, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai, drawn on any Scheduled Commercial Bank.
Last date of submission of application forms to Principal of Jr. College/School /Divisional Authority is 31/03/2011
