MBBS/BDS Admissions 2012-2013
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following courses of the academic year 2012-13 at the following constituent colleges of Yenepoya University:
I. YENEPOYA MEDICAL COLLEGE, DERALAKATTE, MANGALORE
MBBS: 4 ½ YEARS PLUS ONE YEAR INTERNSHIP
Total Seats: 150 (NRI–23, Government–13, Management–114)
II. YENEPOYA DENTAL COLLEGE, DERALAKATTE, MANGALORE
BDS: 5 YEARS
Total Seats: 100 (NRI–15, Management–85)
Eligibility for Admission to MBBS & BDS:
*The applicant should have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination in Karnataka or its equivalent examination.
*The candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the academic year of admission.
*The candidate should have studied Physics,Chemistry and BioIogy in the qualifying examination conducted by any recognized Indian Higher Secondary Board or equivalent qualification.
*Candidates who have passed BSc examinations are also eligible for admission subject to the subjects grouping as approved by the University.
*The candidate should have secured not less than 50% aggregate in the Science subjects in the qualifying examination and a pass in English for admission to MBBS and BDS. However, for candidates belonging to scheduied caste and scheduled tribe categories, the minimum aggregate is 40%.
*The candidate should be medically fit.
Other conditions will be laid down by the University from time to time. Admission shall be subject to the approval of Yenepoya University.
The candidate has to submit, in original, the following documents: (a) SSLC Certificate (b) PUC 2 Certificate (c) Transfer Certificate
Selection of candidates will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test to be held as per the following schedule:

Date of Entrance Test: 27.05.2012
Date of Publication of answer keys: 28.05.2012

Duly filled in application should reach the Registrar, Yenepoya University, Deralakatte, Mangalore - 575 018 on or before the last date prescribed along with a DD for Rs.750 (non-refundable) towards registration fee in favour of Yenepoya University, payable at Mangalore.
