Tamil - MA Tamil; English - MA English; Women's Studies - PG Degree from any discipline (Both Men & Women can apply)
Faculty of Education:
Education - MEd; Physical Education - MPEd / MPE
Faculty of Management:
Commerce - MCom or related degree in Business Economics etc.; International Business - MIBA / MBA(IB) / MBA (IB&EC) / PG Degree in Business / Economics / Commerce or related disciplines; Management - MBA or PG Degree in disciplines relevant to Management; Bank Management - MCom / MBM / MCom with specialization in Banking / MBA (Banking and Insurance); Corporate Secretary ship - MCom / MCS / MA (Corp. Secretary ship)
Faculty of Science:
Mathematics - MSc (Mathematics) or MSc, (Applied Mathematics); Physics - MSc, Physics / MSc, (Applied Physics); Chemistry - (Specialization in Industrial Chemistry) MSc Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Applied Chemistry; Computer Science - MCA / MSc (CA) / MSc (CS);Bioinformatics - PG Degree in Life Sciences / Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Bio-informatics / MVSc / MD; Bioelectronics and Biosensors - PG Degree in Chemistry / Physical Chemistry / Electro chemistry / Bioengineering / Biotechnology / Electronic Engineering; Nano Science & Technology - PG Degree in Nano Science and Technology / PG in Chemical, Physical & Biological Sciences; Animal Health & Management - PG Degree in any branch of Life Sciences; Marine Biology - PG Degree in Life Sciences; Zoology - PG Degree in Zoology / Animal Science.
Selection:
Selection is based on the marks secured in the Entrance Examination (100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) with 50% weightage) and marks in qualifying PG Degree (with 50% weightage).
Application
The cost of application is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC / ST on submission of copy of Community certificate) Application and Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi on written requisition by mentioning the subject of MPhil program along with a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "THE REGISTRAR, ALAGAPPA UNIVERSITY" Payable at "KARAIKUDI".

Downloaded filled in application should be accompanied by a DD towards the application cost. Candidates appearing for the Final year / semester examination can also apply. However, selection will be based on cumulative marks in all semesters / years.
