Applications
are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme of Indian
Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati.
The
disciplines in which these programmes will be offered are: Computer Science
& Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), and
English.
The
following are areas of research for which admissions are currently sought:
CSE:
Networks, Information Security, Soft Computing, Image Processing, Operating
Systems
ECE:
Microwaves and Antennas, Communications, Circuits
English:
Linguistics
ELIGIBILITY:
For
admission to the PhD Programme in CSE and ECE, a candidate must satisfy one of
the following criteria:
i)
Master's degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant area with a minimum
Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.
ii)
Four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences or
equivalent in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks.
For
admission to the PhD Programme in English, a candidate must satisfy one of the
following criteria:
i)
M.A in Linguistics with at least 55% marks or a CPI of 6.0

Interested
