Kerala Private Medical College Management Association, International Students Centre, LMS Compound, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala- 695033, has invited applications for admission to the MBBS Course for 2011-12, in the member colleges of the Association. *Admission to the institution(s) awaiting renewal of permission for the academic year from MCI will be made after getting renewal of permission. The fee structure will be confirmed on the basis of consensual agreement with the Government

Reservation of seats to candidates belonging to specified categories in institutions and to the community/ group in an institution having minority status will be as laid down in the relevant column in Annexure I of the Prospectus. Those eligible for such seats in an institution in terms of the stipulations in Annexure I, in the college concerned should note the same in the relevant column of the application and produce certificate/ proof in support of his/her claim as required therein. Those who fail to produce the required certificate/ proof along with the application will not get the benefit. No concession in fees is allowed to these candidates selected in this category.

Applicants have to produce an undertaking along with the Application form, in stamp paper worth Rs.50/- signed by the candidate and the parent in the form given in Annexure II of the Prospectus, agreeing to pay the fees fixed by the College and to produce at the time of admission, suitable bank guarantee, obtained in favour of the Principal of the college to which the candidate is allotted, to pay tuition fee of Rs.5,95,000/- every year on 01.08.2012, 01.08.2013, 01.08.2014 & 01.08.2015.

Applicants must be Citizens of India and should have completed 17 years of age on the 31st December, 2011. They should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or examination recognized equivalent thereto with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English individually and with 50% marks for Biology separately and 50% marks for Biology, Chemistry and Physics put together. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted. Those who have passed their qualifying examination from authorities other than the State of Kerala have to produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of the qualifying examination from the Kerala University of Health Sciences.

Applicants should possess certificate of good conduct and character issued from the institution last studied.

The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the Official Website of the Association www.kpmcma.net. Filled in Application form should be accompanied by the following .
(a) Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of the Kerala Private Medical College Management Association (KPMCMA) payable at Thiruvananthapuram, (preferably at SBT Main Branch, Statue, Thiruvananthapuram) towards application fee
(b) Self attested copy of SSLC or equivalent certificate in proof of date of birth.
(c) Self attested copy of mark list at the qualifying examination.
(d) Self attested copy of pass certificate of the qualifying examination.
(e) Self attested copy of eligibility/equivalency certificate obtained from the Kerala University of Health Sciences by candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from authorities other than the State of Kerala / CBSE / ISCE.
(f) Self attested copy of course & conduct certificate from Institution last attended.
(g) Certificate in original in case of those claiming Reservation under clause 3.2
(h) Undertaking in the format given in Annexure II as required in clause 3.5 of the Prospectus
(i) Any other document/ certificate required to be produced with the application

Filled applications along with the documents listed should reach ‘The Secretary, Kerala Private Medical College Management Association, International Students Centre, LMS Compound, Thiruvananthapuram-695033’, latest by 4 pm on 11.07.2011. The details of the DD should be furnished in the relevant column of the application.

The list of candidates whose applications are provisionally admitted would be made available at www.kpmcma.net .

All applicants have to sit for an entrance examination to be held on 14.07.2011 at Kozhikode. The Examination will have two papers. Paper I (Biology- 50 Questions) will be held form 9.30 am to 10.45 am and Paper II (Chemistry & Physics- 30+20 questions) from 11.30 am to 12.45 pm.

Admit Cards for the examination can be downloaded from www.kpmcma.net by entering the name and initial(s) (initial(s) after name) in block capitals and date of birth of the candidate (Example given in the Prospectus). The centre of examination, time table and further instructions can be had from the admit card. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card will not be admitted to the examination hall under any circumstances. Logarithm tables, calculator, mobile phone, digital diary or any other transmitting devices are not permitted to be carried to the examination hall.

The examination will be objective type and based on single response. For each question, four answers will be suggested of which only one will be the most appropriate response. The candidate will have to select and tick (?) mark the answer in the appropriate box for each question given as a ,b ,c or d. For each correct response, candidates will be awarded three marks. No negative mark is awarded for incorrect responses. More than one answer indicated will be treated as incorrect response. The standard of the Examination will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.

A candidate not appearing in any one of the papers will be disqualified and will not be considered for selection.Merit list of candidates qualified will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at the written test, subject to eligibility for admission in terms of rules and regulations of the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Government and Medical Council of India.

The candidates included in the Merit list will be required to exercise their choice(s)/ option(s) of college(s) specified taking into account the seats reserved for management community. The allotment of candidates will be made based on option(s) and category and subject to the number of seats available for admission.
