Applications have been invited by University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot for admission to the following Post-Graduate Degree Programmes of Academic Year 2011-12:
i) M.Sc. (Horticulture):
Floriculture and Landscape Architecture
Fruit Science
Vegetable Science

Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops

ii) Ph.D. (Horticulture)
ELIGIBILITY:
i) M.Sc(Hort):
The candidate should possess a Degree in B.Sc (Horticulture)/B.Sc (Agriculture) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture / Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.25/4.00 or OGPA 6.00/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-l mere pass is enough),
ii) Doctoral Programme:
The candidates should possess a Master Degree in M.Sc. (Hort) / M,Sc.(Agri) in Horticulture or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.50/4.00 or OGPA of 6.50/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-l mere pass is enough).
APPLICATION AND PROSPECTUS:

General Candidates Rs.500/-
SC/ST/Cat-l Candidates Rs.250/- (on production of a copy of valid caste certificate)
DD in favour of The Comptroller, UHS, Bagalkot. (Payable at Bagalkot). DD should be obtained in any Nationalized Banks only.
For all the above mentioned disciplines and Degrees, only one application form has to be submitted.
Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar's office, University of Horticultural Sciences, Sector No.60, Navanagar, Bagalkot-587102 either in person or through post by sending a Demand Draft, along with request application. Candidates seeking application through post shall send a self addressed envelope (A-4 size) affixing Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) postage stamps. The application forms shall be issued till 21.07.2011.
