NOTIFICATION
The Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped
graded as an excellent Institute by the Rehabilitation Council of India imparts professional
training in the areas of Audiology & Speech - Language Pathology, Special
Education (Hearing Impairment), Indian Sign Language and Media & Disability Communication. It
provides clinical, educational and rehabilitation services in a whole life
perspective for persons with hearing impairment and communication disorders and
is also engaged in research and development.

Aliyavar Jung National Institute For The Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH), New Delhi has invited applications from the eligible candidates for admission to following courses of the Academice Year 2012-13.
1. Master of Audiology & Speech - Language Pathology: (Mumbai, Kolkata)
Eligibility:
i) Bachelor of Audiology & Speech - Language Pathology or any equivalent degree recognized by the respective Universities and RCI (including internship)
ii) Internship mandatory
2. Bachelor of Audiology and Speech - Language Pathology (Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi)
Eligibility:
i) For Mumbai Centre the eligibility is Pre-University exam of any recognized university in India or equivalent of 10+2/ HSC in India or abroad passed with Physics, Chemistry and any subject of Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Electronics, Psychology.
ii) For Kolkata center the eligibility is Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics/Computer Science, English and any other Vth subject.
iii) For New Delhi Centre the eligibility is passed or appearing in 12th class from CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
iv) For Secunderabad Centre the eligibility is 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry and any subject of Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Electronics, Psychology or its equivalent.
3. Diploma in Hearing, Language & Speech (Kolkata, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar)
Eligibility : 10+2 passed with PCB / PCM or its equivalent
4. Diploma in Education Special Education (Deaf & Hard of Hearing) (Kolkata, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar)
Eligibility:
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board of Education with Minimum marks: 45% for General Category 40% for SC/ST/PH
5. Diploma in Sign Language Interpreter Course (Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi)
Eligibility:
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board of Education. Preference will be given to more qualified candidates.
(Rs. 2,000/- p.m. stipend for candidates having 50% and above marks in 10 + 2 examination)
6. PG Diploma in Media and Disability Communication (Mumbai)
Eligibility:
PG Diploma or graduation in journalism/communication/public relations/advertising/mass media from a recognized University/Institute with minimum of 50% marks
7. Auditory Verbal Therapy Training programme (Mumbai)
Eligibility:
A graduate degree in Audiology, Speech Pathology, Special Education(HI) or a graduate with DSE(HI), DHLS/DTY(HI) with RCI registration number in case of Indian citizens. Good written and spoken English skills are necessary. Preference: Experience in Habilitation of Children with Hearing Impairment.

The filled in application form should be submitted to the respective center(s) where admission is sought. Course name and Centre name should be superscribed on the cover.
