IIRS announces M.Tech / P.G. Diploma courses in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences


Master of Technology in Remote Sensing & GIS Specialization : Marine and Atmospheric Science

Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS Specialization : Marine and Atmospheric Science


Aim of the Courses

To provide in depth understanding of satellite oceanography and meteorology; air-sea interactios and Climate Change; Coastal geomorphology and land ocean interaction; estuarine and coastal dynamics; Numerical modeling and data assimilation.

Indian Government Sponsored Candidates: Rs 20,000 (Andhra Univ.Regn. Fee)

Self-sponsored Indian Candidates: Rs 1,44, 000 +Rs 20,000 (Andhra Univ.Regn. Fee)



P. G. Diploma 10 months 3 months


Course Fee:

Indian Government Sponsored Candidates: NIL

Self-sponsored Indian Candidates: Rs 60,000


Who Can Apply?
Applicants are required to have passed with First Division in any one of the following disciplines.
For working government servants, graduation in science with 2 years of experience is required for P.G. Diploma course.

Minumum Qualification:
M.Sc. in Marine Science / Oceanography/ Earth Science / Geography / Natural Science / Physics  / Atmospheric Science (Please check IIRS website: www.iirs.gov.in)

Fellowships:
Selected M.Tech. candidates will get fellowship during the project work period (about 14 months) if they are selected to work for in-house research project with funding support.
