PART-TIME COURSES IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES (2012 - 2013)

1. The following part-time courses in foreign languages will be offered during the academic year 2012-13.

I. Certificate of Proficiency in Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Korean and Persian.

II. Diploma in Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Korean, and Persian.

III. Advanced Diploma in Arabic, French and Spanish

IV. Diploma in Translation in Arabic.

2.  Eligibility Criteria for admission to Certificate of Proficiency Minimum Qualification: Class 10 (at least 50%).

3. Weightage will be given to candidates with higher qualifications.

SSC with 80% or above 10 points , 1st class – 8 points , Less than 1st class – 5 points, Graduates – 3 points,  Post graduates – 3 points,  M.Phil – 2 points and PhD – 2 points.

(All relevant certificates are to be enclosed)

4.  Intake:

5. Reservation of seats as per UGC/ GOI Rules (Gen. 50%), (OBC- 27%). (SC-15%), (ST-7.5%). One for PHC/VHC, one for Defence Personnel and one for Kashmiri Migrants.

6. Each candidate is eligible to be admitted to only one part –time course in the language of his/her choice.

7. No course will be conducted if the intake is less than 4 students in any batch.

8. Fees:  General/OBC:  1950/- per course  SC/ST/Staff/Spouse: 1500  per course.

9. The fee once paid is not refundable.

10. ALL ADMISSIONS CLOSE ON 31st JULY 2012

ADMISSION SCHEDULE
 Issue of application forms from at the Publication Unit will start on 14th May.  The form will be available till 18th June.  Cost: Rs.100/- for General/OBC, and Rs.50/- for SC/ST. 
 Last date for submission of filled in application forms 18th June 2012 in the department concerned. 
 1st list to be put up on 9th July 2012.
 2nd list to be put up on 16 th July 2012.
 3rd and final list to be put up on 23rd July 2012.
 Classes will commence from 1st August 2011.
