PG Super Speciality Admission Notice 2014


Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate Super speciality courses for the academic year 2014-15 commencing on 1st August 2014 at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.

1. MCh Surgical Oncology
2. DM  Medical Oncology
3. DM  Pediatric Oncology

Eligibility for admission:
Applicants should have satisfied the following conditions:-
a) Nativity:
i. Should be an Indian Citizen
ii. Should have passed the PG Degree (MD / MS) from any of the Medical Colleges in India, recognized by the Medical Council of India or DNB from an institute in India, approved by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

b) Basic Academic Qualifications:
i. MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India
ii. Appropriate Post Graduate Degree (MD / MS) recognized by the Medical Council of India OR appropriate DNB of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
Appropriate Post Graduate qualification required for applying for the course will be MD / MS / DNB in the subjects noted below:

MCh Surgical Oncology - MS / MD / DNB in General Surgery / ENT / Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Orthopaedics
DM  Medical Oncology -                MD / DNB in General Medicine / Paediatrics / Radiotherapy
DM  Paediatric Oncology - MD / DNB in Paediatrics

iii. Candidates should have their MBBS/P G Degrees registered permanently with Medical Council (India/State).

Note: Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the MD / MS / DNB examination may apply but the provisional or permanent P G Degree certificate should be produced at the time of counseling if selected

c) Age: Upper age limit is 40 years, as on 30th April, 2014. Candidates should not have crossed 40 years by 30th April 2014. Age relaxation of five years is applicable to all SC/ST candidates and RCC in-service candidates. (Candidates should not have crossed 45 years by 30th April 2014.) Age relaxation for Kerala Government service candidates will be as decided by the Government of Kerala.

Applications:
Application forms for appearing in the Entrance Examination: - The application forms are common for all candidates applying for the course. Candidates seeking admission to the course should do online registration and complete the application form provided in the website " www.rcctvm.org ".

The completed and signed application form with all the necessary enclosures should be sent to 'The Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram - 695011' by Registered/Speed Post only and should reach The Director,, RCC, latest by 4.00 pm on 24th May 2014. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed by the name of the course applied for (eg: Application for Surgical Oncology Course).

Duly completed application must be accompanied by a Demand Draft payable at State Bank of Travancore, Medical College Branch, Thiruvananthapuram or any of its service branches payable at Thiruvananthapuram for Rs.l500/- drawn in favor of "Director, Regional Cancer Centre".
