The seats are reserved for sons/daughters/widows of Armed Forces Personnel of the following categories of Defence personnel only, as per the priority shown against each
(a) Killed in action: Priority I
(b) Disabled in action and boarded out from service with disability attributable to Military Service: Priority II
(c) Died while in service with death attributable to Military Service: Priority III
(d) Disabled in service and boarded out with disability attributable to Military Service: Priority IV
(e) Gallantry Award/Distinguished Service Award Winners (does not include Service Medals) : Priority V
There are approximately 28-30 seats in Medical Colleges for MBBS and 1 seat + one seat at Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore, in Dental Colleges for BDS (subject to allotment of seats by Ministry of Health).
For MBBS/BDS seats, applicant should have passed in 10+2 /equivalent examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology together.
Wards of Ex-servicemen P-VI, wards of Serving Defence Personnel P-VII, Wards of Civilians, all cases of death (P-I & P-III) aggravated by Military Service, all cases of Disability (P-II & P-IV) aggravated by Military Service, are not eligible.
Blank application forms for MBBS/BDS may be obtained in person from Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence, West Block IV, Wing V, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066 or by sending self-addressed envelope of size 27 cm x 12 cm with Postage stamps worth Rs.32/- affixed, along with a written application requesting for the form with attested copies of supporting documents proving eligibility for P-I to P-V.
Completed Applications with Formats A-I to A-5 as applicable, duly attested by both Secretary RSB/ZSB and OIC Records of the eligible candidates should reach Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, West Block IV, Wing V, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066, latest by 25th June, 2009.
