April 29 : Institute of Chemical Technology [ICT], Nathalal Parekh Marg, Matunga, Mumbai-400019, a Deemed-to-be-University, has invited applications for admission to the seats reserved for candidates to be admitted through AIEEE in various Under Graduate courses at the Institute.
The Courses to which 30% of the total sanctioned intake capacity will be allotted under AIEEE quota include, B.Chem.Engg and B.Tech in Dyes (Dyestuff Technology), Textile (Fibres & Textile Processing Technology), Foods (Food Engineering and Technology), Oils (Oils, Oleochemicals & Surfactants Technology), Pharma (Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology), Polymer (Polymer Engineering & Technology) and Coatings (Surface Coating Technology). There are 41 seats to be filled based on AIEEE of which 33 are open and 8 are reserved for SC/ST. Details are given in the Prospectus.
Applicant should have appeared for the AIEEE examination 2009 and should have AIEEE- 2009 Score card with non-zero score. Allotment of seats of B.Chem Engg and of all the branches within B. Tech. is made at the time of counseling to be done at the ICT, strictly by merit. Reservation in admission for SC/ST categories is applicable as per Govt. norms. Separate merit lists will be prepared for candidates of SC/ST categories. Interested candidates must be present in person at the time of counselling. If the candidate is unable to attend the counselling round, he/she should authorize a person as per Proforma A to remain present for counselling.
Admission Form and Prospectus can be purchased from the Account Section of the Institute on payment of Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for Backward Category Classes, applicable to the candidates from the State of Maharashtra only), in cash. Those requiring the materials by Post, must send a Pay Order/DD for Rs.950/- (Rs.500/- for Backward Category Classes, applicable to the candidates from the State of Maharashtra only), drawn in favour of 'The Director, ICT', payable at Mumbai.
The Admission form and Prospectus may be downloaded from www.udct.org, in which case, the filled form may be sent to the ICT along with the Pay Order/DD of Rs.950/- (Rs.500/-).
Candidates are required to submit the duly filled application form at the ICT along with one attested set of all copies of the required documents. e-statement of AIEEE Score Card may be submitted instead of attested Xerox of the original, if Original score card is not received by the last date of submission of application form at the ICT. Original Score Card is to be submitted at the time of counselling round at the ICT.
Each eligible candidate who has submitted application form in the prescribed format on or before the last date prescribed for the submission of application form will be assigned a Merit Number. There will be a Common merit lists for B. Chem. Engg and the seven branches of B. Tech, separately for General and Reserved category, on the basis of marks scored at AIEEE 2009.
The provisional merit lists will be displayed on the Notice Board of ICT and at the website www.udct.org after 6 working days from the closing date for submission of the admission forms. Candidate should carefully check his/ her information in the provisional merit list displayed on the website. If there is any grievance/ discrepancy/ mistake in the information, it must be pointed out along with all requisite proofs at the ICT either 'in person' or by email at admission@udct.org or by Fax 022-24145614 within 2 days.
Admission will be given to the candidate as per the merit by Counselling at the ICT and the number of seats available at that point of time. The candidate has to confirm his/ her admission by submitting all the necessary original documents and paying the prescribed fees, by the date specified in the Offer Letter, by Demand Draft/ Pay Order of any Bank drawn in favour of The Director, ICT, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. Last dates of receipt of filled up applications under AIEEE quota at ICT is June 15, 2009.
Applications have been invited for admission to M.Chem.Engg., M.Tech, M.Pharm., M.E. (Plastic Engg.) Ph.D (Tech.) and Ph.D (Sci.). Students appearing for the qualifying examinations for the academic year ending May 2009 are also eligible to apply.
