Entrance Examination for admission to the B.Sc Nursing 2011

College of Nursing, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Health Sciences Campus, AIMS-Ponekkara, Kochi-682041, will hold the Entrance Examination for admission to the B.Sc Nursing Course for 2011-12 from 10 am to 12.30 pm on 29th May, 2011 at Amritapuri (Kollam), Coimbatore, Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.

The Amrita Entrance Examination for Nursing will be of objective type with a total of 150 questions having approximately 25 questions from Physics, 35 from Chemistry, 70 from Biology, 10 from English and 10 from General Knowledge. Each Question will have four answers/options labelled A, B, C and D. Each correct response will be awarded three marks.

The syllabus for AMRITA Entrance Examination will be as per the 10 + 2 examination (CBSE).

Applicant should be at least 17 years of age as on 31st December 2011. Only those candidate whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December 1994, but not above 23 years of age as on that date, are eligible to apply.

Applicants should have scored 50% marks in English and 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the Qualifying Examination and 50% marks in Amrita Entrance Examination. In case of SC/ST candidates, minimum marks required is 40% in English and 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the Qualifying Examination and 40% marks in Amrita Entrance Examination.

There are 75 seats for the Programme carrying an annual Tuition Fee of Rs.1,00,000/- The Cost of application form is Rs. 500/-. Prospectus and Application forms will be available from select branches of Dhanalakshmi Bank and Federal Bank

Last date for sale of application will be 18th May 2011.
