Applications are invited for the TANCET 2011 to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 28th & 29th May 2011, from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A. and 3. M.E. / M.Tech. / M. Arch. / M.PIan, Degree Programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2011-2012 offered at University Departments of Anna University, Anna University of Technology Chennai, Anna University of Technology Coimbatore, Anna University of Technology Madurai, Anna University of Technology Tiruchirappalli, Anna University of Technology Tirunelveli, Government Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self-financing Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges / stand alone Institutions. Some Universities and Self-Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of TANCET 2011. Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test however, admission is subject to the eligibility conditions of the admitting authority / University.

ELIGIBILITY 1. MBA : A Pass* in any recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 years pattern (or) any recognised Bachelor's degree with 10 + 3 years diploma + 3 years pattern (or) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm degree. 2. MCA: A Pass* in any recognised Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 years pattern in any discipline with +2 level Mathematics (or) any recognised Bachelor'sdegree of minimum 3 years duration in 10 + 2 + 3years pattern in any discipline with Mathematics orStatisticsasanyoneofthe subjects. 3. M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.PIan *. : Details of the common eligibility criteria are available in the "Information & Instructions Booklet" for TANCET 2011 to be issued during Spot Registration and also in the website: www.annauniv.edu/tancet2011 'Minimum eligibility marks will be indicated by the admitting authorities concerned in their notification for admission Note: i) M.Sc., (2 years) courses are not eligible for admission to M.E. Computer Science and related courses ii) Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible, except B.E./B.Tech degree ill) B.E/B.Tech degree obtained through distance mode/weekend courses are not eligible. Those who are appearing for final year/semesterexamination of the above qualifying degree in April/May 2011 can also apply forTANCET 2011. Candidates have to submit only one application for the Entrance Test for all the above P.G. Programmes. The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate in card format) as entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either(1) M.B.A. or(2) M.C.A. or(3) M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.PIan. Ifa candidate desires to appearfor more than one programme,for every additional programme, he/she hasto pay Rs.300/-(Rs.150/-for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu)

REGISTRATION FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST (1) SPOT REGISTRATION: Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who come in person to the following Co-ordinating Centres with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std.marksheet(or3years Diploma Certificate) and cash or Demand Draft (AsingleDD is sufficient for one or more programmejfor the required amount towards Entrance Testfee. 1.
