LAWCET-2011 and PGLCET-2011

Applications have been invited for appearing in Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET-2011) and Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET-2011), conducted under the aegis of APSCHE, Hyderabad, for admission into the following Under Graduate course and Post Graduate courses offered in University/Private Law colleges in the State of A.P for the academic year 2011-12:

1) 3-year LL.B/B.L
2) 5-year LL.B/B.L
3) LL.M

ELIGIBILITY FOR LAWCET – 2011:

3 year LL.B / B.L. Course: The Candidates for 3 year LL.B. / B.L. should have passed any Graduate Degree(10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized university with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned.

5 Year LL.B./B.L. Course: The Candidates for 5 year LL.B. / B.L. should have passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the university concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P.
There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 year / 5 year Law course in favour of the Candidates belonging to SC / ST.
Age on admission: The maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B / B.L Course shall be Thirty Years (relaxable by five years in case of SCs/STs) and twenty years (relaxable by two years in case of SCs/STs) respectively as on 31st December of the year of seeking admission.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PGLCET – 2011:

Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. final year examination are also eligible. The candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad, shall have a minimum experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-year standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for PGLCET-2011.

Sale of Application Forms & instructions booklet:

A) Application Form for the Entrance Test and Instruction Booklet can be had from the Convener, LAWCET-2011, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati-517 502 by sending a Crossed Demand Draft for the amount detailed below from any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of The Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad, payable at Hyderabad along with a requisition letter giving full address and specifically mentioning whether it is for 5 year/ 3 year LAWCET-2011 or PGLCET-2011.

LAWCET-2011:
Rs.275/- (includes cost of application, registration & test fee etc: Rs. 250/- + postage etc)
PGLCET-2011:
Rs.525/- (includes cost of application, registration & test fee etc: Rs.500/- + postage etc)

B) Application forms for the Entrance Test and Instruction booklet can also be obtained from designated Post Offices, Andhra Bank counters, e-seva centers (for LAWCET-2011) and University colleges of Law (for only PGLCET-2011) on payment of designated fee. C) Online Submission: Applications can be downloaded from website:
http://www.svuniversity.in/ and the filled-in applications be submitted to the Convener, LAWCET-2011or PGLCET-2011, S.V. UNIVERSITY, TIRUPATI along with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.250/-for LAWCET or Rs.500/- for PGLCET from any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of the Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad payable at Hyderabad.

D) Filled application forms with necessary enclosures should be submitted to the Convener, LAWCET-2011/PGLCET-2011, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati-517 502 before the specified last date for submission.

Last Date for sale of applications (in Post Offices.Andhra Bank & e-seva centers): 30-04-2011
Sale of Applications at Convener's Office S.V.University, Tirupati: From 16-03-2011 to 31-05-2011upto 5 PM

Last date for submission of filled in application:
Without late fee: 30-04-2011
With a late fee of Rs.200/-: 20-05-2011
With a late fee of Rs.500/-: 31-05-2011


LATE FEE is to be paid by D.D. drawn in favour of the Secretary, A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Payable at Hyderabad. Candidates submitting applications with a late fee of Rs.500/-, the Test Centre will be at Tirupati only.
