Applications have been invited by Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, J&K for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2011-12.
1. BCA
Eligibility for Admission: Passed 10+2 from any recognized Board of School Education with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST) with any subject combination. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying Examination is awaited can also apply.
2. MCA
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in the Final year of the qualifying examination or those whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test provisionally.
3. Masters in Information Technology
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). 4. Masters in Applied Mathematics
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors’ degree of 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from any recognized university with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in the Final Year Examination of the qualifying degree, or those whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply provisionally.

9. MBA

Having passed final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants or Company Secretaries.
AMIE (Engineering) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe categories).
Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree or those, whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply provisionally and appear in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
11. BA (Hons.) Arabic
Eligibility for Admission: Passed 10+2 from any recognized Board of Senior Secondary School Education with atleast 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories).
Madrasa Pass outs with English as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC&ST categories)
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited can also apply.
12. MA Arabic
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) or any other examination equivalent thereto from a recognized university with Arabic as one of the subjects with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories).
A candidate who has appeared or is appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree is also eligible to apply provisionally.
13. Masters in Biotechnology and Bioresources
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree in Biology (10+2+3 pattern), Agriculture, Forestry, Pharmacology or Biotechnology from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (50% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in examination of the Final Year of the qualifying degree and those, whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply for provisionally appearing in the Entrance Test.
