for Study at Ateneno de Manila University, Philippines and UPEACE/Costa Rica


The United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) is a graduate school specialised in peace education and conflict resolution training. We are currently looking for scholarship applicants for our Asia Leaders Programme (ALP). This 17 to 20 month scholarship, funded by The Nippon Foundation – Japan, is a dual campus programme as scholars will be studying in and travelling between Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines and UPEACE, Costa Rica.

We believe that within your network are interested and qualifies individual and would like to extend an invitation to interested parties to apply for the next intake of scholars. We would thus like to request your assistance by disseminating the information below to appropriate channels and/or organizations within your professional networks. Universities, civil society groups particularly those immersed in peace-related initiatives, peak bodies of non-governmental organizations, local governance bodies, and military academies are some such organizations where there might be a strong interest in this programme. For your quick reference, here are some pertinent details of this programme.

Scholarship Details Full scholarship (100% of tuition, required travel to both campuses, a fixed stipend to assist in daily living expenses and basic medical insurance)
