Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow is conducting State Entrance Examination (UPSEE-2012) on 22nd April, 2012 for admission to degree courses in Engineering B.Tech./ B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.)/ Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)/Architecture (B.Arch.)/Hotel Management (BHMCT)/Fashion & Apparel Design (BFAD) of Govt. Aided and private unaided institutions affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University, Noida along with some of the other State Universities of Uttar Pradesh for the academic session 2012-13.
The examination for admission to first year of MBA/MCA course to Govt, aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University, Noida along with some other state universities of Uttar Pradesh for academic session 2012-2013 will be conducted ON-LINE(COMPUTER BASED ENTRANCE TEST) on 21 st & 28th April, 2012.
SCHEME OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: The candidates opting for different courses will be required to undertake written test in following papers on the dates specified below:

Brochure:-
1. For admission to the first year of B.Tech./ B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.)/ B.Pharm./ BHMCT/ BFAD candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University as given in Information brochure of UPSEE-2012.The candidate must have clearly passed with minimum 45% marks for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates in aggregate in the subject groups mentioned in the information Brochure UPSEE-2012 without grace marks.
2. For admission to the first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate is essentially required to pass in each subject of the compulsory and optional subjects mentioned in the information Brochure of UPSEE-2012 without grace marks.
A candidate possessing three year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/ State Govt., securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate is also eligible for admission to the first year of B.Arch. only. The candidates will have to appear in the Entrance Examination UPSEE-2012 for admission to first year of B. Arch, (paper-4) as mentioned above.
3. For admission to the first year of MBA course, candidate must have passed bachelor's degree course of minimum three year duration from any recognized university of India.The candidate must have clearly passed without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General & OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
4. For admission to the first year of MCA, candidate must have passed bachelor's degree course of minimum three years duration from any recognized university with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level. The candidate must have clearly passed without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General & OBC and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
5. For admission to the second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech., the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course; securing minimum 45% for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate or three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with Mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 45% for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate in B.Sc. as per details provided in the brochure.
6. For admission to the second year (lateral entry) of B. Pharm., the candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course; securing minimum 45% for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate as per details provided in the brochure.
7. The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in State Entrance Examination-2012 subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.
8. The details of admissions for NRI and Kashmiri migrants will be published later, in the month of May, 2012 according to the norms to be laid down by the Govt, of U.P. / AICTE. Such candidates need not appear in U PSEE-2012
9. State Govt, has permitted 20% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled up on the basis of AIEEE-2012 merit (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) for admissions to Engineering Technology/Architecture courses. Out of which 10% seats will be filled by U.P. domicile candidates on U.P. State merit using State reservation policy, and the remaining of 10% seats will be filled through All India Merit Candidates without reservation subject to the eligibility conditions given in the brochure.
10. State Govt, has also permitted 20% of total sanctioned seats available for admission for MBA course in Private Institutions to be filled on the basis of CMAT-2012 merit (Common Management Admission Test) subject to the eligibility conditions given in the brochure through CMAT-2012.

The link for submission for ONLINE application form will be open from 10.00 A.M., 28th Feb., 2012 until 10 P.M. of 22nd March, 2012. The duly filled confirmation page must reach the office of the Registrar (UPSEE-2012), Gautam Buddh Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226021 by 5.00 P.M., 26th March, 2012.\
2. The Information Brochure containing OMR Application form will be available to the candidates from 03-03-2012 to 20.03.2012 (both days inclusive) from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of U.P, Delhi & Dehradun. The last dates of receipt of duly filled OMR Application form in the office of the Registrar (UPSEE-2012), Gautam Buddh Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226021 will be 5.00 P.M., 24.03.2012.
The OMR based Applications/Confirmation Page should be sent to the University office by Registered / Speed Post only. The OMR based Application form / Confirmation Page received after the due date or through any other means shall not be accepted. The University will not be responsible for the OMR based Application form / Confirmation Page missed/ not received / any delay on the part of post office or for any other reason whatsoever.
