Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET - 2012)
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET - 2012) and Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET - 2012) for admission to Third & Fifth year LL.B / BL course and LL.M programmes of the academic year 2012-13.
Courses & Eligibility :
1. 3-Year LL.B / BL :
Candidates should have appeared or passed any Graduation (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned.
2. 5-Year LL.B / BL / BBA-LLB (Integrated Course) :
Candidates should have appeared or passed 2-Year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, AP.
3. LL.M :
Candidate holding LL.B / BL Degree and candidates who have appeared / appearing for LL.B / BL, final year examination. Age limit is not prescribed for admission to LL.M course.
Note :
a) There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 year / 5 year Law course in favour of the Candidates belonging to SC / ST.
b) The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation / post graduation through open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission to the law courses.
Age limits :
a) 5-Year Law Degree - Maximum age is twenty years in case of general category and twenty two years in case of SC/ST.
b) 3-Year Law Degree - Maximum age is thirty years in case of general category and thirty five years in case of SC/ST.
Sale of Application Forms & instructions booklet :
A. Application Form for the Entrance Test and Instruction Booklet can be had from "Convener, LAWCET - 2012, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati-517 502" by sending a Crossed Demand Draft as detailed below from any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of The Secretary, APSCHE, Hyderabad, payable at Hyderabad along with a requisition letter giving full address and specifically mentioning whether it is for 5 Year / 3 Year LAWCET - 2012 or PGLCET - 2012.
LAWCET - 2012 : Rs.275/- (which includes cost of application, registration and test fee etc: Rs. 250/- + postage etc)
PGLCET - 2012 : Rs.525/- (which includes cost of application, registration and test fee etc: Rs.500/- + postage etc)
B. LAWCET-2012 : Application forms can also be had from the following on payment of Rs.250/-
1. Head Post Offices in AP Circle and also from Sub-Post Offices in the University Campuses as mentioned below :
