Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh has invited applications for PhD Courses of Academic Year 2012. A competitive written examination on all-India basis will be held on 27 May, 2012, Sunday.

Animal Biochemistry, Poultry Science, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Biostatistics, Livestock Production and Management, Livestock Products Technology, Vet Immunology, Vet Surgery and Radilogy, Vet Pathology, Vet Bacteriology, Vet Pharmacology, Vet Extension Education, Vet Physiology, Vet Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Vet Public Health, Vet Medicine, Vet Virology, Vet Parasitology.
Eligibility :
(i) The candidates for admission to PhD Programme must have MVSc degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or OGPA 7.00/10.00 or equivalent (55% marks or OGPA 6.45/10.00 or equivalent for SC/ST and sponsored candidate).
(ii) A good knowledge of English language.
(iii) Minimum age of 23 years as on 1st August, 2012.
Candidates who have appeared for the Masters degree examination in the year 2012 are also eligible to apply provisionally for admission but they will have to submit documentary proof of their successful completion of qualifying degree examination on the date of registration.

(i) Information bulletin and application form for admission can be obtained from the Assistant Administrative Officer (Acad), IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh-243122 by submitting a bank draft of Rs 1200/- for General / OBC / PH category and Rs 1000/- for SC / ST category candidates drawn in favour of ICAR, Unit IVRI, Izatnagar payable at State Bank of India, CARI Branch (Code No-7027), Bareilly.
(ii) Information bulletin and application form are also available at: www.ivri.nic.in and can be downloaded and have to be submitted alongwith a bank draft of Rs 1200/- for General / OBC / PH category and Rs 1000/- for SC / ST category candidates, drawn in favour of ICAR, Unit IVRI, Izatnagar payable at State Bank of India, CARI Branch (Code No-7027), Bareilly.
(iii) Application forms can be obtained from 15th March to 14th April, 2012 (by post) and from 15th March to 19th April, 2012 at University Counter.
