WALK-IN INTERVIEW
15 Nos. of GATE qualified Junior
Research Fellows (JRF- GATE) at CSIR GATE) at CSIR-SERC

It is proposed to appoint 15 Nos. of GATE qualified Junior Research Fellows (JRF-- -- GATE) at CSIR GATE) at CSIR-- SERC -- . JRF`s selected under this scheme will have excellent opportunity to work with the CSIR-SERC scientists with state-of-art R&D facilities and obtain Ph.D degree. These fellowships are tenable only at CSIR-SERC.
…The aim of JRF-GATE is to attain academic excellence and to generate high level science and the fellows are expected to contribute to lab research through a suitable Ph.D program.
Qualification:
The Candidate should possess Bachelor`s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering with valid GATE GATE score.
Tenure of the Fellowship:
Two years. Fellowship may be up-graded
as SRF for further period of 3 years on the basis of assessment as per normal CSIR rules.
Stipend: Rs.16,000/- plus HRA per month. In addition, contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- (calculated on pro rata basis for fraction of year) is available to each fellowship as per the CSIR guidelines.
On completion of two years as JRF-GATE the fellowship may be upgraded to SRF-GATE and stipend may be increased to Rs.18,000/-p.m. in the subsequent years on the basis of assessment as per normal CSIR rules. Age limit: The upper age limit for JRF-GATE shall be 28 years as on the date of Interview i.e. 25th May 2012 which is relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / Women / Physically Handicapped/ OBC.
The selected candidates will have to register Ph.D within two ye thin two years of joining, otherwise the fellowship ars of joining, otherwise the fellowship is deemed is deemed to be to be cancelled and withdrawn.
Interested candidates are requested to appear for Walk-in-interview on 25th May 2012 at 9.30 at 9.30 a.m. at this Centre with their application in the prescribed format (application may be downloaded from our website: www.serc.res.in) along with recent passport size photo enclosing attested copies of certificates and testimonials. No separate call letter will be sent for interview.
No TA/DA will be paid.

Candidates should bring the Original Certificates in respect of age/educational qualification etc. at the time of interview.
Only those candidates who possess the minimum qualification prescribed for JRF-GATE
will be permitted to attend interview.
Candidates must bring technical reports/project rep reports etc. which was a requirement for the orts etc. which was a requirement for the award of Degree at the time of interview.
