TWO DAYS TRAINING PROGRAMME ON PREVENTION OF KIDNEY DISEASE


THE PREVENTION OF KIDNEY DISEASE

The Kidney Help Trust, a non profit charitable organization, has developed a model of community based action to prevent chronic kidney disease in the community. We periodically hold training programmes to help others to learn and implement this methodology. The training deals with methods to carry out a survey to detect people at risk of getting chronic kidney disease, and to manage them so as to minimize the risk of progression to end stage kidney failure. 

Duration: Two days

Dates: 29th and 30th of September, 2012. 

Who should attend?
Medical practitioners interested in prevention of disease. NGOs involved in health related activities in communities. Anyone involved in community based health programmes.

A fee of Rs. 2000/- will be charged for each candidate to partially cover the costs of the training programme. The Kidney Help Trust will provide accommodation for two days and one night, but the participants will have to provide for their own travel. Registration is on a first come first served basis and participants will be limited to twenty in number. Please apply before the 15th of August to enable us to make the arrangements.

Please note that this work requires some funds and manpower, and the help of at least one doctor. It cannot be done by an unaided individual, and applications from such persons will not be entertained.
