Ph.D PROGRAMME
Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology,
hyderabad, invites applications from candidates who are bonafide Indian
citizens, to pursue research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. Degree.
Candidates with a Master's degree in any branch of
science having a valid National level fellowship can apply. Candidates with a
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Pharmacy qualified in GATE/GPAT examination
with a minimum of 85 percentage may also apply.

CCMB invites applications from students with a
strong motivation to pursue research in modern biology leading to a PhD degree.
Candidates with a Masters degree in any branch of Life-SciencesPhysical
Sciences, Chemical Sciences or Medicine who have qualified for a JRF (CSIR-NET,
ICMR, DBT, etc.) can apply. GATE-qualified Engineering students interested in
inter-disciplinary Life-Science research are also encouraged to apply.
CCMB carries out research in broad areas of modern
biology at molecular, cellular and organismal levels to understand the genetic
basis of living beings and how bio-molecules function in biological systems.
Variety of approaches - molecular and cell biology,
genetic, biochemical, biophysical and computational approaches - are taken and
the State-of-the-Art research facilities are used which include advanced
microscopy and imaging, spectroscopy, proteomics, DNA sequencing (equipped with
next generation sequencing facility), tissue culture facility, animal model
systems, advanced X-Ray and NMR facilities and Bio-safety laboratories.
CCMB provides well maintained on-campus amenities,
such as student housing, fully equipped gymnasium, canteen, medical centre.
