Admissions to UG degree programme (2014-’15) for NRI candidates

University of Agricultural Sciences, P.B. No. 329, Raichur, Karnataka 584 104 has invited applications for admission to UG degree programmes under the NRI quota for the 15% seats reserved over and above the intake of given degree Programme to NRIs/ Children or NRIs/ candidate sponsored by NRI for the academic year 2014-15. Definition of NRI candidate / NRI sponsored candidate shall be as given by Govt. Of India/ Karnataka Education Authority.

For admission to the B.Sc.(Agriculture) Programme at College of Agriculture, Raichur (10 seats), College of Agriculture, Bheemarayanagudi  (10) and College of Agriculture, Gulbarga (5), applicant should have passed two years pre-University course or 10+2level or 12 years schooling or its equivalent examination with at least 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or in any other equivalent optional Science subject (50% marks in anyother optional Science subject) (PCB Stream).

For admission to the B.Tech (Agricultural Engg) Programme at College of Agricultural Engineering (5 seats), applicant should have passed two years pre-University course or 10+2level or 12 years schooling or its equivalent examination with minimum of 50percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or in any other equivalent optional Science subject (50%marks in any other optional Science subject) (PCM Stream).

Applicant should have studied in English medium at higher secondary or at 11 and12 standard level.

Application fee is Rs. 1000/- payable in the form of Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, Raichur purchased on or after the date of this notification, payable at Raichur.

Application can be downloaded from www.uasraichur.edu.in only. The filled application along with the educational documents including medical certificate and DD should reach ‘The Registrar, University of Agricultural Sciences, Post Box No. 329, Raichur, Karnataka-584 104’, on or before 10-7-2014

Degree Programme Fee for NRI / Children of NRI / candidate sponsored by NRI shall pay US $ 6000.00 per year or equivalent in Indian Rupees as Institutional Economic fee per annum and along with regular semester fee prescribed by the University from time to time. Students shall also pay group Health Insurance premium every year as prescribed from time to time.

The sponsored candidate is required to give an undertaking to the effect that, heor she would pay the fee regularly to the University. In addition, the sponsor shall also give an undertaking that, he / she has sponsored the candidate and will pay fee regularly till the candidate complete the course. In the event of Non-payment of fee, the student shall be terminated from studies. Undertaking given by the sponsor and the candidate on stamp paper signed by Notary should accompany the application.

Those who apply for seat should appear personally along with all original marks cards without fail for counselling and seat allotment to be held at 11 am in UAS Auditorium, Raichur on 19-07-2014. No separate information will be sent to the candidate. In absentia, seats will not be allotted.

On receipt of selection letter, the candidate needs to confirm his / her willingness to join the programme in writing for which he / she has been provisionally selected for admission. No change of subject is entertained subsequently.

The documents to be produced by the candidate at the time of joining the degree programmes include (a) All original transcripts about the Examinations passed. (SSLC / PUC (10+2) (Intermediate) / Date of Birth certificate / T.C. / Proof of NRI status & others) (b) Medical Fitness certificate from Govt. Hospitals (c) An undertaking to be given by the sponsor that the sponsor will pay fee in dollars / rupees regularly till the candidate completes the degree programme and in the event of non-payment of fee, his / her admission may be cancelled (d) An undertaking to be given by the candidate to the effect that, he / she would pay the fee regularly to the University and in the event of non-payment of fee his / her admission may be cancelled.

Fee to be paid by the candidate at the time of joining the degree programme is Rs. 17,000/- as I-Semester Admission fee, By Bank Draft / DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, Raichur payable at Raichur.

The Institutional Economics fee of US $ 6000.00 or equivalent in Indian Rupees (Rs. 60 per Dollar) per annum is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, Raichur payable at Raichur.

The sponsorer / NRI should pay the each semester fees and US $ 6000.00 or equivalent Indian Rupees (Rs. 60 per Dollar) each year regularly or till the candidate completes the course.

Hostel facilities will be provided subject to the availability in the UAS campus. The candidate desirous of stay in the campus must occupy the rooms allotted to him / herby the Chief Warden as is where is condition. No demand for alteration is entertained to meet his /her own personal requirement.

First semester start on 4-08-2014.
